He opened the paper, shoved the first of his nuggets into his mouth, and read the words upon the page.
*Leslie sat there, wiping her eyes, smearing her makeup, but she wasn't thinking of that. She'd just broken up with her boyfriend of six months. And here she was, crying in public.
That wasn't the sort of thing she usually did. She wasn't sure if she was crying because of the breakup, which certainly made her feel like crap, or the fact she'd made a public scene.
"I am better than this," she told herself silently. "I'm a beautiful, attractive woman with a good job and great friends. I don't need him. I'll find someone else."
