Jon had Math first period, which was not his favorite subject. But today, he was even more distracted than usual, staring out the window and thinking.
Mrs. Watson walked around the room, picking up the student's homework assignments. Jon barely noticed when she stopped at Steve Farber's desk. She raised a brow at him, seeing no assignment ready. "So, what is it this time, Mr. Farber?" She asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"You've mastered all of the material so there's no need for you to do the assignment? If that's true, then you should be the teacher, and I'll just sit here and learn from you."
Jon was barely paying attention. The last thing he needed was to draw the teacher's attention to him.
"Mr. Madison," a voice said, shaking him out of his reverie. "Would you mind joining the rest of the class?"
