Jon turned and saw Sarah McMillan and some of her cheerleader friends walking through the library. She took notice of Gladys Brewer, the fattest girl in school, who was sitting at one of the tables, reading something. While she read, she was stuffing her face with a donut, and that was the prefect fodder for Sarah to use, apparently.
"This is a library, not a lunch room," Sarah said. "Do that somewhere else, you cow."
Sarah was about to laugh, but instead fell silent as she watched the entire library ripple ... then she continued to be silent, seeing as she could no longer talk.
Jon stared. Sarah had just turned into a cow!
"Mooooo!" Sarah the cow uttered.
"What the hell is a cow doing in here?" Karyn asked.
"That's Sarah," Jon said, pointing at the cow.
"Who?" she asked.
"Have you met her already?" Gladys asked Jon, approaching him. "She's mine."
"Yours?" Jon asked, not understanding.
"Yeah. I entered her in a competition and she won. I just thought I'd parade her around the school a bit."
