This time there wasn’t just a flash, it was like lightning stuck the room, such a powerful wish was granted in that moment. Jon was knocked to the ground and when he got up again, everything seemed to be the same, nothing in the room was out of place, there was no sign of disruption and the stone was still there, but with it now was a book. It was a leather book, like nothing you would buy at a store, about the size and shape of a yearbook. It was most certainly new. Jon hesitated, because clearly the book had just dramatically come into existence because of his wish, but how would a book be interesting?
He opened the book. There was writing in the book. It read.
“Hello Jon. You wished for something interesting to happen, so I have taken the liberty of making your world more interesting. Inside this book you will find stories about people you know. These stories would not have been true except for the fact that I have made them true. This book will be a guide to a new and exciting world which very well could kill you, but keep in mind, you had a wishing stone and that wasn’t enough for you. You needed more, and I have given you more, because I give what is asked of me. – The Stone.”
And then on the next page there was a table of contents.

It went on, naming people Jon had never heard of like Delia, Jennifer Madison, Vanessa, King Coal..
Jon turned it to the page with his name on it.
The page read:
This is the story of a boy who had a wishing stone….and it went on to recount the whole strange chapter up until now, about how his grandfather had left him a wishing stone and Karyn had wished herself larger breasts and blond hair, and how Jon with a bored errant thought had wished for something interesting to happen.
It was strange to read about his life, but it was accurate, even to his internal thoughts at the time.
Jon turned to another page.
