Yeah, I think the problem with Zoe is that she was too happy with her change, so not a lot to go on there from a story perspective.
On a personal perspective that character had some... serious attitude issues that just made her not a lot of fun to write to me. Yes I know, its weird considering the villainous characters I've made- but I think the difference there is that while I have made some nasty characters such as The angel-girls, Julian, etc... they all confronted their darker nature (even the nice characters confronted aspects of themselves.)
When it came to Zoe, she came across as one with no desire at all to inspect her attitude, or evolve and change. There was nothing to go on at all for her character wise, because it always inevitably came up with 'Zoe is right, everyone eise is wrong'. Even Sarah ended up being better then her towards the end as a character.
I think I'm happy to end the story on my epilogue of Bryan. It makes sense to finish with a new human character, living in the world, with his story about to begin.
