Elsewhere in the school, Melissa Smith was showing off pictures on her cell phone to her best friend, Sarah McMillan, when suddenly she nearly dropped the phone with a yelp.
"What is it?"
"The thing shocked me," Melissa said.
"Find one of those nerds and have them have a look at it," Sarah suggested. "That's one thing they are actually good for."
