"I don't know how this is possible, but you came out of my story. You're just a fictional character," Sydney said, still astonished that her made-up character was sitting right across from her, now as a living, breathing girl.
Since the Blank Slate Disorder was still active within Zoe, whose name was now that of the main character in Sydney's story, what Sydney just told her became the truth. The former Zoe knew that she somehow had come out of Sydney's story, like magic or something.
"Please, Syd," she said. "You have to return me to my own world, back in your story. I don't belong here."
Of course, Sydney couldn't help her, since she didn't know how she had come out of the story in the first place. Although, as it was, the girl sitting across from her didn't really come from anywhere. She used to be Jon's sister Zoe.
