Sitha decided to go after the Prince in the chaos caused by the death of the guard, because that was his job. He didn’t mind killing off humans, they certainly had no problems killing his people, but it was wasted energy to kill the others. Death should serve a purpose and only the death of the Prince would get him paid so he started moving towards the building where two guards had not moved an inch at the alarms sounding. They must be guarding something important and royalty often thought they were the most important thing around.

He wished he had skill with a bow but though he had tried, the mastery of it eluded him, but he was good with a javelin. The light spear flew the air with deadly accuracy into the unarmored throat of one of the guards holding in upright as the second guard rushed to end the threat of the attacker. Sitha brought his long sword down with incredible force causing the guard to drop back, but the lizardman pressed his attack using his superior strength to his advantage. Humans often had better endurance than lizardmen and Sitha might have to call upon his endurance tonight if things went poorly, so he wanted to finish this quickly if he could. The man grunted in pain as the lizardman dug his blade into his shoulder, but he continued fighting back with a quick slash at the belly of his opponent. Leather armor tore from the sharp blade but the hard scales underneath didn’t give way, the man saw he was doomed and tried to call for help as a last desperate act to try and save his master.

“To arms! To ar . . .” the blade of the lizardman ended the call for help.

The humans would turn their attention to him soon if they heard the cries for help, so fleeing would be the safest option but Sitha was so close to victory.
