Jon glances over Karyn's shoulder to see that the people that are gathered around are within earshot of how their conversation would go. "Not here." Jon says as he motions for Karyn to follow him to a more secluded area of the school.
Once they found a place where no one would be able to hear them, Jon begins his explanation. "Last night I had made a wish that something interesting would happen and the stone turned into a gold apple and wouldn't grant any more wishes beyond that." he explains as he pulls the apple out of his backpack and it's still glowing.
Karyn is almost mesmerized by the glow as Jon hands it to her. "So what does this have to do with Mitch?" she asks.
"I rode next to him on the bus and he had asked if he could hold it for a second which I saw no harm in when he said it shocked him and he handed it back to me." Jon explains. "And then through other circumstances, Biff and Mike Durnhoff touched the apple and after Mike touched it is when it began to glow like this." he finishes.
Karyn lets this new information sink into her head as she tries to put the pieces of this puzzle together. "Jon, did you think that maybe the same things could be happening to Mike and Biff that happened to Mitch?" she asks.
Jon facepalms himself as Karyn says this. "I didn't even think about that. We gotta find them." he says.
Just as they get out of their hiding place, they start heading down the hall hoping they'll be able to find either Mike or Biff when suddenly there's a panic going on. "What now?" Jon asks as him and Karyn head off towards where all of the commotion is coming from.
