Once on the bus, Jon started looking for an empty seat and found one around the middle of the vehicle. However there was already someone sitting there whom Jon recognized as Mitch Everett, one of the computer geeks at the school. "Hey Jon how's it going?" he asks.
Jon just shrugs his shoulders. "Going fine I guess." he replies as he takes a seat next to Mitch.
Mitch notices the apple that Jon's holding and having never seen a gold apple before, he decides to inquire about it. "Hey Jon where'd you get that?" he asks.
Jon was a bit startled by Mitch's question. "Oh uh...this is something a relative who lifes down in South America had sent me and I thought I'd give it to a teacher or something." he says.
This fascinates Mitch as he wants to know more. "Can I hold it just to see how it feels?" he asks.
Jon shrugs his shoulders. "Yea sure." he says as he hands the apple to Mitch who's more than excited to see something like this. 'He sure seems excited over some apple.' he thinks to himself.
As he's holding it, Mitch suddenly feels a strange jolt go through his body. "That was weird. Here Jon you can have it back." he says as he hands it back to Jon and the rest of the bus ride is pretty uneventful.
