Zoe Madison, Athena DeVries, and Zelda Whitefield left the Spiked Pit, heading toward Athena's house, where they planned to spend the night.
They turned a corner and were suddenly in a thick cloud of fog, which was odd because it had been clear a moment earlier.
"What the fuck?" Zoe said. She could barely see in front of her. She could hear Athena and Zelda similarly confused. She stumbled forward, trying to spot anything.
Suddenly, the strange fog cleared, and the three could see once more.
