"So, I'll see you tomorrow at school. Right guys?" Sarah asked Eric and Andy.
"Sure, we'll look out for ya," Eric said. Then the car sped away down the street.
Sarah watched them speed away and then turned around and headed towards her house.
After walking inside, she almost got bowled over by her little brother Wesley. He was only 8 years old, but you could see that he was on the fast-track to becoming a great athlete. He was so full of energy. She could see it now: Wesley Meadows in bright lights. Sarah's father was obviously a little disappointed that she didn't want to do the same, optioning to go down the nerdy route instead, but that didn't mean that he was any less proud of her. Being the head of chess club certainly didn't hurt.
She ruffled Wesley's hair, then headed upstairs to her bedroom. She needed to write all this stuff down. The cloud, what it did, everything. She already asked a lot of questions. Now, she needed to come up with theories.
After walking inside his house, Biff wanted to head up to his room, but his mom blocked his path. She stood there, dressed in a revealing nightgown, holding a martini glass.
"So," she said. "Out late?"
"Uh ... yeah. I went to the mall with my friend Sarah."
"That wasn't Sarah who dropped you off."
"Oh ... yeah ... that was ... Jay. Jay Duncan."
His mother smiled. "Captain of the football team? Nice."
"He was just giving me a ride, that's all." He tried to walk past her. He could tell that she was a little drunk again. She probably had a bit of a late night herself, out "socializing" with her friends. His mom was total MILF, so who knew what they were doing? Biff just tried not to think about it. Sometimes, he thought that they weren't even related. Sometimes, he wished they weren't related.
"I bet he was," his mother said.
Biff just looked at her, as she took a sip from her glass.
"Hey, it's a compliment. You need to start acting like a real McMillan, Biff. Stop acting like a loser," she said, with a bit of a slur.
Biff pushed past her and ran up the stairs to his bedroom. It was bad enough that people at school degraded him. But to get that same treatment at home? It was the worst. Why couldn't his mom be proud of him? He might have been shy and inexperienced when it came to boys, but he was getting some of the highest grades in his school. But no, his mom was only interested in Biff becoming just like her. A Susan McMillan clone. Yeah, well, that was never going to happen, despite what he told Jay.
