The cloud briskly moved across the food court dining area, not even bothering to swerve around the tables like it had earlier. It darted right at Molly with cold determination.
Realizing that the cloud saw her as a threat, Molly turned and ran. The Cloud was too fast for her. It surrounded her again, only this time she was fully aware of what was happening.
It didn't speak to her, so much as communicate on a very basic level. She was interfering, and it would stop...for tonight. It withdrew, and toward the door.
Molly blinked, confused for a moment. What was she doing at the mall? She scratched her head, very confused.
A group of other teenagers rushed around her. "What was the thing?" one of the girls demanded of her.
Her mind was still spinning. "What thing?"
