"Come on, you don't want your ice cream to melt too much, do you?"
Karen felt numb, and followed Jenny back to the table. Mark and Benny had seemingly swapped clothes too. Benny looked up at her as they approached "Feeling better?" He said.
"Do you think she's sick?" Jenny asked Benny, moving to feel Karen's forehead. "It isn't warm."
This was too much. Karen rose to her feet... "Stop acting like I'm a little girl," she insisted.
"You aren't a little girl," Benny said. "You're our big girl," he said.
"Stop that," she snapped at him. "Stop talking to me like that."
Jenny suddenly frowned. Something felt wrong here. Why was Karen acting this way? She tried to think of what to do.
Karen turned to Mark. "What's going on here?" She asked.
He rolled his eyes at her. "You're embarrassing everyone," he said. He looked around as if he was looking to make sure no one he knew saw him.
"I think it's time to go home," Benny said.
"Way to go, brat," Mark said.
Karen very much wanted to go home after this. She had no idea why the world had suddenly gone topsy-turvy. But, from the looks of everyone, she was the only one who noticed it. Was she going insane?
