Jenny was dressed differently. She hadn't been that way when they'd left the table. Her hair was shorter, and she was wearing a blue blouse, jeans, and a pair of shoes. There was a purse slung over her shoulder.
She was dressed like Karen had seen a dozen mothers at her daughter's school dressed, including Karen herself. But the look was completely wrong on an eight year old girl.
Karen's clothes, however, looked completely out of place on her. She was wearing what looked like a full-sized version of Jenny's jumper. Her hair was longer, and her face was completely devoid of makeup. She looked ridiculous. But she hadn't been wearing this a moment ago...
