"Athena?" Nadine said, in surprise.
This Athena looked... well, normal, and rather mature. "You remember, right?" That was all she needed to say.
"Yeah. Did you do this to me?" She asked, sounding curious, rather than angry.
"No...I have no idea how this happened. It is like reality changed...and everyone but us is oblivious. Sarah McMillan is my kid sister...and she's...not herself." Athena felt reluctant to say anything bad about Sarah.
Nadine laughed at that. "Serves her right," she said.
"Someone did this for a reason... you're a Goth and you hate Goths."
"What about you?"
"I... " Athena paused. "I'm...happy, " she said, as if it was a realization. "I mean, I'm not Goth anymore, but people like me, and I'm not some kind of shallow cheerleader. I'm just not sure these feelings are real, and... this isn't the way it is supposed to be."
Nadine nodded, coming to realize the same thing. "But its wrong... "
