Trevor walked over to Jon after emerging from the locker room. He shook his head and shrugged as he approached. "Sorry, Zo. No sign of that rock of yours." he said.
Jon's face fell. "Damn it..." he said. "He must have it with him."
"Guess you're gonna have to wait till you get home." Trevor said.
"Yeah, yeah. I guess so..." Jon said. "Thanks anyway, Trevor."
"No problem. See you later?"
"Yeah, sure." Jon said, walking away. If the stone wasn't in his gym locker, there were only really two options. It would have to be with his body, or in his regular locker.
He navigated the halls, passing by a few other students who were walking the halls as well. He finally found his way to his locker, and quickly entered the combination.
He pulled the locker door open and looked inside. A few books, notebooks, all the things he remembered being there the day before. But, much to his displeasure, no stone.
"Damn it..." he said, slamming the locker door closed.
"Zoe? What are you doing?" Jon heard from behind himself. He slowly turned toward the speaker, and saw...himself. He glanced back at the locker, the lock still open, and then back at his other self, who was staring at him with suspicion.
"Well? You going to explain yourself?" the other Jon asked, one hand in his pocket as though he was grasping something in it.
