Joining up with some human medics would be fine with me. There were 15 fused Staulirs here. That meant 30 sub entities. The Yellows got some inexperienced Warriors to fuse with them, but they were fine as they were all the same color. We were allowed to cross the space corridor to the other side. The humans were a bit wary. We all were more disciplined and did not do anything to make them want to turn hostile. We were brought into their base and it was a large space. They shuffled us through quickly. We were then brought to a barracks and shown the medics we would be accompanying. They seemed to be more medically trained military police than standard doctors and nurses. That was fine with me. They could at least fight if something went down. We were introduced to them one by one. After that, we were announced by our youngling monikers. There were 15 of them. Once we got to the colony and shown our accommodations, we would be expected to split apart again in order to fit into the shabby housing. There were a few houses right next to each other in the big dome.

Keeping to ourselves would be fine. Since there were 3 houses given to us, 5 of us were going to be in each house. Out of the 30 sub entities we had in the colony, there were 6 Blacks, 1 Violet, 10 Indigos, 1 Blue, 2 Greens, 6 Yellows, 2 Oranges and 2 Reds. 10 sub entities would be in each house. The Reds, Oranges and Yellow had one. All the Indigos had one to themselves. Everyone else shared the third. Since half of us were going to be unaccounted for, it was up to them to stay fused in order to prepare for mating our way out of extinction. The spare Indigo squad had enough to form an incubator with a remainder to fuse with any of the first squad. The Oranges and spare Yellows could fuse to form eggs. That was a good thing. Carbon Sparkle and Black Shrine could do it too. Aside from them, stragglers could also try to mate a bit with nearby humans. That was a good start for us. We even had enough for the standard 50 ft. Staulir. That could be our ace in the hole should something happen. If I had my way, we would show them that we could be useful to them. We needed results.

Like us the medics were going to be stationed in a medic outpost. 5 of them would be on call every 8 hours each day. This was going to be done 6 days of the week. On the seventh day, the slums would have to use the regular medical personal. We were an experimental rapid response team. If we were called in, we would race over to the emergency and deliver aid. If there were hostiles in the area, we Staulirs would defend the medics and neutralize the threats. I was assigned the graveyard shift with an eager to show off Onyx Blaze, Pitch Gleam, Violet Twinkle and Green Tho. The Indigos had the evening shift. The elites got the morning as they wanted to be out when the sun was up. That just meant we would be free at those times. They wanted to be the most powerful on the job. This was the sector of the domed colony with the most crime. The people here were poor and desperate. It meant I was always called to respond with the others. The others got called up often as well. As for the others, they did whatever they wanted all the time. We were like this for a month in game.
