Zoe woke up to an alarm clock, turning it off, and got out of her bed, which had grown overnight to a soft and comfortable Queen. It wasn't the only thing that had grown though. The walls of her room had expanded outward, and the volume of the space was significantly larger.
She walked into what had once been her closet, but seemed to now be a bathroom, and hopped into the shower.
At around the same time, Jon exited his closet and found the bedroom door and stepped into the hallway, then looked back into his room and out the window. The window was where it should be. He could see the neighbor's houses. But the hallway was...backward. The stairs had been to the left of his door, now they were to the right, which made no sense.
The stairs cut right through what had been his mother's bedroom and were, if stairs could be so, nicer than the ones that he was familiar with. He hurried toward the door to his mother's bedroom, which was still where he remembered it, just now next to the stairs, and opened it up...revealing...a bathroom.
This was getting very confusing.
