Meanwhile, downstairs, the door bell rang.
"Mikey, could you get that?" Zoe asked from the kitchen.
Mikey groaned, getting off the couch. He was watching his favorite morning cartoon: Robot Attack. He walked to the front door and opened it. Outside was Jon's best friend Karyn Black.
Then, suddenly, there was a bright flash of light, but no one noticed it.
Fourteen year old Karyn opened the door and looked around. No one was there.
"Karyn, who is at the door?"
"No one...must be a practical joke." She shrugged, annoyed, and headed to breakfast.
Mikey Black peeked out of the bushes at the girl heading back into the house, then snuck home.
