"Lieutenant, where are you going?" the crewman asked Zoe.
"Out of this nightmare, hopefully," she said, as she left the engineering section and wandered out into the corridor. As she walked aimlessly through the corridors, she occasionally touched her forehead. At first, she thought the ridges were some sort of prosthetic, but she could feel them. They were actually part of her head.
"He's not here," Sarah said, when she got back to the place where she thought Jon was before. She couldn't be absolutely sure, though, since all the corridors looked the same. How could anyone know where they were in this place?
"Sarah, what the hell is going on?" Biff demanded.
"We're in a TV show, okay?" she snapped at him.
"What the hell does that mean?"
"I don't know how, but one by one we're becoming characters on this show. I was hoping to find Jon so he could tell us what's happening. I don't know anything about Star Trek."
"Star Trek? Is that what this is?" Biff asked, looking around.
"Do you know anything about it?" she asked. Part of her felt relieved that maybe he did (it might be helpful to their situation). However, another part of her felt embarrassed and disgusted that her boyfriend might know something about a science fiction show, something that nerds and geeks were into.
"No. Not really."
"Then we need to find Jon."
Jon walked through the corridors, smiling when he saw other crew members (stand-ins, no main characters) or when he occasionally looked at the computer terminals on the walls. The level of detail in the computer database was amazing.
He kept walking until he saw a door labeled SICKBAY. That's strange. I just happen to be on the same deck as the sickbay? But it wasn't all that strange, as Jon began to think about it. After Kes left the ship, the crew (and the doctor) no longer had a nurse, so Tom Paris was assigned to be the doctor's nurse, when he wasn't helming the ship. And since Jon was now Paris, it made sense that he was near the sickbay. Paris was probably on his way there when Jon suddenly took him over.
Smiling again, he entered the sickbay. He was actually going to meet the holographic doctor. Robert Picardo (the actor who played the doctor) was one of the show's highlights, in Jon's opinion.
