Sydney looked at Jon, somewhat annoyed. Jon wasn't even paying attention to her. Here she was telling him everything.
Jon frowned, not sure what Sydney was upset about. He tried showing her some affection, in the hopes that would make her stop being upset.
Sydney idly picked up the wishing stone. She still didn't know what it was, but she knew it flashed when she held it. It helped her think. "I wish I knew all the things that Leonard expected me to," she said.
The stone flashed and Sydney passed out. When she woke up, Jon was licking her face, trying to get her up. She blinked. "Jon...stop it...I'm up..." she said, rubbing her head. "I...must have fallen asleep."
She walked over to the mirror and brushed her hair, realizing what a mess it was. Her canine features were completely gone, unnoticed by her. She looked like a normal human teenager. Pretty and fit, the face even resembled a member of the Madison family.
"Sydney, are you up there?" Linda Madison called.
