"...and that's why Superman pretends to be Clark Kent," Leonard concluded.
"Oh..." Sydney said. "But...he just changes his clothes...doesn't anyone notice?"
Carl rolled his eyes. "Girls," he muttered. "No one is looking at Clark's face, and everyone's looking at Superman's big S. It distracts them. Then he does have this super-hypnosis..."
"Come on, Carl...no one takes that seriously," Leonard said.
"It was in the comic. It's canon."
"Carl...not in front of company..." he mumbled.
"Leonard, I'm not going to be the third wheel anymore. Have fun," Carl said, storming off. He was tired of watching Leonard make a fool of himself. Sydney obviously didn't have any romantic interest in him.
Sydney frowned. "He seems upset. Does he not like me?"
"He thinks I have no chance with you."
"Chance?"
"Like....that you'd never be interested in a guy like me."
"You're very interesting," she said "You explained the movie to me."
"But...you're...girls don't usually want to be around me..."
"I think you're very nice," Sydney insisted. "I...thought you didn't like me anymore...since you started treating me differently..."
"I like you a lot," Leonard said, blushing. "I...just all we usually do is say hi, talk about Jon...this is the first time we haven't."
Sydney frowned. There was something here she was missing. Maybe she would ask Jon. He might know the answer. "Would you rather talk about Jon?"
"Not really," he admitted.
