"Get out..." she said, pushing him toward the door. "Leave me alone..." She pushed him out and closed the door.
"I'm not stupid," she whispered. "I wish I'd learn to be smarter than Jon." The stone flashed and she frowned, wondering why it kept doing that. But she put it aside again, wondering why Jon used to be nice to her, and now was so mean and disagreeable. He must be jealous of her.
"I won't let him know anymore when he hurts my feelings," she declared. She sighed. Being the alpha was hard.
She began to pace, feeling restless. She began to look around the room for the first time since things had changed, taking it in. She opened up drawers and the closets, remembering that people who walked upright were expected to cover themselves, so she dressed in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and donned shoes and socks.
Then her eyes spied a pile of objects on one of the shelves, and she grabbed it and sat on the bed, looking at it. It was full of pictures and strange shapes. Her mouth began to move subtly as she looked it over... "Oh...these symbols are like what I say..." she remarked, amazed.
She quickly finished the book and moved on to another. "I wonder why I never tried these before..."
