Biff didn't know how he'd gotten into the Twilight Zone, but he didn't like it. He was feeling more and more self-conscious with every moment. It seemed to him as if every girl was looking at him and lusting after him, and every boy was whispering about him.
He'd had fantasies like that, but they hadn't been anything like this. They did say that people should be careful what they wished for.
Karyn was in the girl's locker room, changing into her gym clothes, when Kyla Leeson came over. "Hey, you're friends with Jon Madison, right?"
"Yeah," Karyn said, frowning. "Why?"
"Are you two seeing each other?" Kyla asked.
"No," Karyn insisted.
"Oh...good. I think he's kind of cute, and I wanted to ask him out."
"He's just not like most boys," Karyn said. "He's kind of a tomgirl. I've thought about asking him out, but it's hard to think of him as something other than one of the girls sometimes."
Kyla nodded. "Maybe someone just needs to give him a reason to act like a boy...like a real date."
Karyn nodded. She felt a bit jealous,even though she wasn't dating Jon. Maybe she didn't want anyone else to date him either?
