She was wearing a light blue shirt, a darker blue wool sweater, and a plaid skirt. She had blue woolen socks that went up to her knees. Her hair was back to its natural color and tied up with a ribbon. Her piercings were gone. She looked worse than normal...

"What the..." Stephanie remarked. How'd she get dressed this way? Had someone drugged her?

"Miss Wright!" A stern female voice said. It was Mrs. Finch, the librarian.

"What?" Stephanie asked, still a little shell shocked.

"Kneel," she said.

"What? Why?"

"You know the drill, Miss Wright. If you kneel and it doesn't touch the ground, your skirt is too short." She said, shrilly.

"You've got to be kidding me," she muttered. Normally, she would have told Mrs. Finch to go fuck herself, but she wanted to get this over with and find out what was going on. She did what the woman asked.

"A little too close for comfort. Do try not to ride the boundaries of decency, young lady. Now, hurry along. The first bell will be in a few moments." She started to run off. "And don't run. It isn't ladylike."

Stephanie slowed down, and actually took in the sights around her she hadn't been paying attention to. The trophy cases along this hallway were empty. The electronic message sign that hung above them was also gone. And everything looked cleaner...newer.

She turned the hallway and spotted...Zoe Gibson and Sabrina Johnson? Or was it? They were dressed in clothes just as ugly and strange as hers.

"We'd better hurry," Zoe told her. "We waited as long as we could, but if Finch catches us in the halls..."

Mrs. Finch was the school librarian, no one was afraid of her.

"What's going on? Since when are you two concerned about getting to class on time?" She asked.

Zoe pulled her gently down the hall. An old-fashioned bell, like a firehouse bell, rang through the halls. That was weird...the bell was usually an electronic beep.

She spotted someting that made her pull out of Zoe's grip. It was a hand-painted banner. "Good luck, class of '69.'.

"What the fuck is going on?" she demanded from her two friends.
