"No, you're my kid sister," Jon said. "We're...friends?"
"Since we were little," Zoe said. "You don't remember?"
"No..." Jon said.
Zoe looked at him. "I'm not surprised you might have wished to be part of my family. You always preferred it over here than your house. I mean, your mom..."
Jon looked at her. "How do I know that you aren't the one who changed?" He challenged. "Nothing is strange but you. If you were me, what would you believe?"
Zoe looked at him. "Probably whatever you do. But...tell me this...do I seem like the Zoe you remember? Because I don't remember being that person any more than you remember the person I'm describing."
