Zoe's eyes snapped open and she looked around. Black walls, dark curtains. She fumbled around and found a lamp, flicking it on and gasped.
She got up and looked down, seeing that she was fully dressed. Sort of...she was dressed in black, like some sort of Goth or something. She found a mirror. "Where am I? And...what happened to me?"
She headed toward the door, nearly stumbling in the boots she was wearing, and opened the door. She recognized the hallway, then took a moment and walked across the hall, banging on Jon's door.
Jon threw it open. "What is it, Zoe?"
Zoe pushed him back inside, closing the door. "What did you do?"
"What?" Jon said, confused.
"I woke up looking like this," Zoe said, angrily. "What did you wish for?"
Jon stared at her in shock. "Umm...wish?" He said.
"I woke up looking like the queen of darkness and you're playing dumb with me? You look different too...but I used the stone to wish I'd always recognize you and remember reality."
"You know about the stone?" Jon said.
Zoe took a deep breath. She seemed to try to calm down...something he didn't know Zoe to do...at least not since she'd gone Goth. "You...have no idea what I'm talking about, do you? Jeeze...You put a whammy on yourself this time?"
"A what?"
"Don't you remember? We figured out how to add a time limit to wishes so they'd wear off...you must have wished you wouldn't remember what you wished for..."
"Zoe...I never told you about the stone."
"So, you don't know when I'm going to change back..." She sat on the bed. "Can you help me out of these boots? I don't know how whatever nightmare version of me you wished up stands them."
Jon sat next to her on his bed and tried to help her. "So...you are saying you are supposed to be...what?"
"Well, hopefully this reality you created will start to wear off soon and we'll all be back to normal again."
