Karyn was still Karyn, but now a new Karyn. Karyn Black had been a spunky tomgirl, a good friend, foolish at times, but loyal, funny, charming, kind, and independent, she was insecure about things but you would really have to get to know her to tell, she had a great poker face which hid her knowledge of her failings. That she wasn't as pretty as the others, wasn't as popular, wasn't as smart, wasn't what you would expect from a girl. She had tucked into this, bought in and made an image of herself that was "Karyn Black: Iconoclast!". She stood apart from the rest, because she didn't fit in with the rest, and that was where she had made her own personal throne for her to sit on and "be herself", she was the outsider, the one who didn't care what you thought, to those who looked at her and her devil may care attitude which she wore as a green sweater. It's not like she wanted this role, but it was where she was, it was who she had become to the people who knew her. Fact was her first chance to change her situation, to become more like the other girls, to fit in, she couldn't help but take advantage of with an errant wish for boobs and hair that might make her more acceptable, more part of the group. The tragic problem from this mistaken wish was that it didn't change anything, before she was a redhead with small boobs, now a blonde with large ones, and nobody had cared or noticed and nothing had changed, she was still Karyn Black, so if she was to be that girl, she may as well be the one she was before rather than some cheap knockoff of Sarah McMillan. That was Karyn Black, but Karyn Black was gone.
In her place stood a new girl, still named Karyn, aware that there was once a girl who must have had a life similar to hers who had the name Karyn Black, but she also knew that she was not that girl, that was someone else. She was Karyn McMillan, sister of the queen of the school, cheerleader bitch Sarah McMillan. In fact she was her fraternal twin, though often people would mistake them for identical twins, something they both disliked. They shared the bond that twins shared, they cared deeply for each other, understood each other, respected and stood up for each other, but the constant being called identical twins had caused a split in them, a desire for individuality, Sarah had gone the way of the Cheerleader, Karyn the way of the Geek. Still she had those McMillan genes and money, so she wasn't a lame socially awkward geek, but a pretty, chill, sexy "booth babe" type of geek. It was more fun for her, she felt less pressure from her parents this way, she just got to do what she wanted, which was all she wanted. The old Karyn was laid back, the new Karyn was used to getting her way and so shared with her sister a certain spoiled quailty, given to pouting, jealously, and vainity. She was a bit of a showoff, if only to show off how different she could be from Sarah, but also as she got positive attention for it she found a certain joy in the glaze of fanboys, Sarah had her fans, and so did Karyn in her way. Karyn's fans just had better reading habits and worse workout habits. In a way Karyn envied Sarah for that, the guys Sarah would get were much hotter, but she enjoyed the people she knew. One of them being Jon, the most acceptable of the bunch, since he wasn't completely given over to nerdery like some. Karyn mostly looked the same, her nose had a slight upturn that it lacked before, and she wore make up, her clothing was a very tight and revealing Tardis T shirt and even tighter jeans, and she wore glasses which she didn't need, but liked the look of.
"Awww...no! I've got a photoshoot in an hour for Nan Das Con. I've got to go, can you give this to Sarah for me? She'll know what it's for. Thanks your a doll."
She quickly ran off, but not before giving Jon a peck on the cheek while shoving into his hands a box. The she turned to her still open info page and turned it off herself. As she did that Jon heard a voice.
"Player 2 has entered the game!"
