Zoe looked considerably different. But it wasn't just her body that had changed. Her clothes and general appearance had changed too. She was no longer Goth. Not really. She was still wearing black clothes and had a few piercings, but she was considerably more conservative, compared to her original look.
Gillian looked like the average teenage girl. T-shirt, denim miniskirt, 2-inch heels. Jon noticed that she made a pretty cute teenage girl. Not overly-sexy, but definitely good-looking.
When he got closer, Jon noticed that Athena was still there and looking exactly the same. So, she hadn't been erased from existence. But how did reality change to make this work? Athena obviously couldn't have a mother that was only two years older than her. And she couldn't be "parentless". As Jon got a little closer, he could hear what they were saying.
