A smile was on his face. "Since it is clear this brat is fresh, we need to make sure he can have some techniques to keep him from getting killed." He had a few scrolls on him as he passed the others on the way to where I was. A total of 3 techniques were given to me. They were the Water Walk, Wall Walk and Flash Step techniques. With these techniques, I could now walk on walls and water. I also could send chakra to my legs so that I could move as fast as the speed of sound. To the untrained eye, it would be like I was teleporting. I wanted to test it out right away, so I went to the wall and tried to go up. It took a bit to regain a frame of reference, but I was able to do it after a bit. The first time I tried, my body fell back and Eiji had to catch me. "Suck in your gut, Shiro. You have to tighten up so you can get the rest of your body under control." he said. I nodded and listened to his advice. I was able to walk on the wall properly this time. "Keep this in mind so that you can have a way to run if things ever get bad." Genji said as he took the scrolls back. I also tried to Flash Step and it worked.
Just then the door opened. Eiji flashed over and lifted me over his shoulder before I could do it again. "We don't do these things when normal people are around. That is one of the rules." he hissed in a harsh whisper. "What are the rules? Who made them?" I asked. "Shut up for now!" he said firmly. The person came in and I saw it was a man. He looked around at all of us. "This is the Hihari Dojo, right?" he asked. Genji reached out with a handshake. I wondered what would happen. The man took the hand and shook back. "Hello. This is the Hihari Dojo. I am the owner of this place, Genji Yamada. What can I do for you?" The man gulped and said "I think that my wife might be in an affair. I need to know for sure. Can you help me?" he said. Genji nodded with a smile and said "Sure we can. For the right price, of course." They quickly drew up a contract and determined a price. Genji would have his people tail the wife for 2 weeks to see if there was any proof of infidelity. I was shocked when Genji assigned Hibiki and me for the job. "Nice." Hibiki said. It would be an easy first job for a rookie.
Keeping up with him would be my main goal. I did not complain about being given the mission, but I had just met them. Did they trust me? Or, did they just want to kill me if they saw I was a bother to them. If everything went well, I could see myself hanging out with these guys more often. If not, they would probably need to be killed. With enough time and planning, I could pull it off if I took them on 1 by 1. The man gave me and Hibiki pictures of his wife. "She looks beautiful." Hibiki said. I nodded. He said a sad "Yeah...", and trailed off. It was probably going to be really bad if she was actually cheating on him. He then told us where she worked and he general schedule. In the meantime, Eiji and Kaori were talking together. The rest of them were lounging around at various places in the dojo. As soon as the man left, Genji called the 2 of us together. "Alright. You're there to follow and observe her. I do not want you 2 getting involved. If she's cheating, snap a picture and get out." he said. Hibiki nodded at him and said "Don't worry. I'll show our newbie all of the ropes!" he said before picking me up.
