My vision cleared and I saw the others. Suzie was a Hanha shinobi and the other Player was an Yotochi kunoichi. It was pretty cool seeing them in their casual outfits. I complimented them and the pair did the same thing for me. I asked Suzie what her role was in her clan. She said she was a fallen branch member. Once that happened, we were taken back to the airship for another announcement. The voice was as mechanical as always. "Dear customers, you will soon be taken over to the starting zone for your particular start. This is important. You can check the menu and read the particular motivations and goals of your faction. It my be small or large scale, short or long term. Whether or not you are able to accomplish this on a large enough scale will determine the fate of the world. Enjoy your time in the sub-world." it said. The long airship then began to fade away. When it was done, I was in a school hallway. I looked around at all the other students moving through the hallways before looking at the game menu. There were many goals for an independent ninja. The world was my oyster.
I could, of course, form my own clan. This would rely on finding other independent ninja and finding a niche in the world to fill. I could also try to find or create the ultimate chakra technique. In the world, there were 5 forbidden techniques. They were Flesh Puppet Clone, Soul Prison, Impure Resurrection, Many Mouths and Curse Seals. A technique could be forbidden if that technique poses a great threat once used, either to the world or to the user themselves. These techniques were rarely weak and they quite often violate the laws of nature. You could even make your own if you got to high enough level and mastery in a type of technique. Another thing an independent ninja could do was try to enter an established clan. That was pretty unlikely for me unless I was making no progress or I needed the protection from powerful enemies. It was why I wanted to be independent in the first place. As the bell rang and everyone made their way to class, I got a popup telling me where mine was. Once I got in the classroom, I chose a seat and sat down. Class started up soon after. It was all basic stuff.
As soon as class was over, I got up. I did not spend all this time and money just to go to school in a video game. That was not fun for me. Not at all. Suzie was nowhere to be seen as well. I decided to cut and see what else was going on. As I roamed the hall, I saw some delinquent types climb the stairs. Sensing that they might be doing something interesting, I decided to follow them at a distance. Doing something ninja-like could be a way to practice for the rest of the game. The delinquents went to the roof and I went with them. Once they saw a guy lying down, they stalked and surrounded him. "You really messed up this time, Eiji!" one of them said. The boy sat up and the frown was evident. His spiky brown hair was tied back by a long, pale blue ribbon. It was like a thin headband that contrasted by his sun kissed skin. Eiji's teeth were triangular and sharp and his dark green eyes were features that also stood out. "What the hell do you guys want!?" Eiji demanded. "You have been messing around on our turf. We are here to teach you a lesson." It was 5 on 1. I was just going to watch.
