After collecting all of the family portraits in the trash bag, Jon took the bag outside and dropped it in the trash can. It was at this moment when Karyn decided to stop by. She just couldn't wait to try out the wishing stone again.
"Jon? What are you doing?" she asked.
He slowly turned towards her and looked at her a bit oddly. "I'm throwing away all my family's portraits."
"Why are you doing that?"
"Because she told me to."
"Who's 'she'? Jon, who are you talking about?"
But Jon didn't answer. He just turned around and started walking back towards the house.
"Jon? Where are you going?" Karyn asked.
"She wants me to come back inside," he said, before entering the house.
Karyn was both concerned and confused. What the hell was going on here? The entire time, Jon looked like he was in a strange daze. She had a suspicion that this had something to do with the stone, but she couldn't be sure until she investigated further.
