Once they were in Catherine's room, they made sure to close the door. "Okay, the jokes gone on long enough," Catherine said. "Time to change me back."
"Fine, fine," Gary said. "I can always use it another time. You're a boy named Jon." Catherine waited expectantly, but nothing happened. Gary tried again. "You're a boy named Jon." Still nothing.
"Try something else," Catherine said, her voice shaking a little.
"You're hair is shorter," Gary said. Nothing. "You're hair is longer." Suddenly, Catherine's hair grew even longer, all the way down to Catherine's lower back.
"Um, why did that work?" Catherine examining her hair.
"Maybe . . . the changes only go one way," Gary said. "Like you're hair can get longer, but not shorter." Catherine shot him a glare as her hair grew a couple more inches. "Sorry. Let's check the card to see exactly what we can change. They got out a piece of paper and wrote down everything that had changed.

"But why did your weight change when I said a specific weight?" Gary asked.
"Maybe it changed automatically when I became a girl, to suit my new body better."
"If that's the case, we may have found our loophole."

Catherine suddenly let out an "eep!". Her face was inches away from Gary's and both of her hands were holding his. She jumped back, face bright red again. "Gah!" she exclaimed, as she pulled at her hair. "This body is so . . ."
She had a gnawing feeling that she wouldn't be able to get back to normal, but she wan't to grasp at any straw of hope she could.
