Catherine decided it was safe for her to talk, just not Gary. She talked about what it felt like being a girl, how her breasts felt really heavy as she walked, and how she kept on feeling a draft up her skirt. Gary simply nodded, or gave a simple reponse, "Is that so?" He clearly wasn't too interested in the 'girl problems', but Catherine was talking more for herself and didn't care what Gary thought.
However, once Catherine began talking about comic books, Gary gave her a strange look. "You still like comic books?"
"Of course, I do, idiot," she said punching him in the arm; she realized that it came off as a little flirty and her face turned red again. "Ahem, I'm still the same person as before. It just feels like there's another person inside of me that keeps on trying to take over, especially when I look at you. Oh, look, we're here."
Out of habbit, Catherine walked in and started for her room while continuing her comic book discussion. However, Gary paused at the family photo. "Um, Catherine, take a look at this." She stopped and looked at the picture.
"I don't see the problem; it's the same as it's always been. Oh, it's the same as it's always been, with me as a guy. That means my family probably won't recognize me. Quick, let's go to my room to change me back before someone sees me." She grabbed Gary's hand and pulled him up to her room. She scolded herself by how quickly she grabbed his hand and how she didn't want to let go of it. She also realized she was going to be alone in her bedroom with her boyfriend.
