I actually did like the feel of it, but Elizabeth asks... "Can we go?"
Everyone responds as if she asks..."Can I go?"
Just thinking about it based on your question, I suddenly have an idea.
As for the twist, I did expect something to happen to Elizabeth along those lines, yes.
