Chronos, God of Time, looked upon all that had been done so far (and will be done, or could be done.. it was all just as valid to him.) The call from Lucas was not completely unexpected. Certainly humans- at least 'some' of them had worked out a few new quirks to the flow of time, and it looked like it was up to him to 'fit' things- somewhat anyway.

The Time God lived in a fairly simple dwelling. A castle, made entirely out of clockwork pieces. Ticks and Tocks surrounded the grey lifeless world in a strange blizzard of sound. It was almost like planet Clockwork itself... though where Planet Clockwork seemed to start out fashioned from a cog, Chonos was mimicking the ebb and flow of life in every passing.

He had his own throne, and a small globe to observe the universe. Standard for a god of His status... but how much had he slept?

"So, the angel called you Wings," he smiled a bit as he observed the 'time ship'. A nice and worthy name... He had a hand in crafting Her heart of course... just as he had a hand in planet Clockwork... small though it was.

He was getting on with his work when... something unexpected happened.

...unexpected, to a Time God?

He had a visitor...

The black clothed woman appeared out of the time-ether, accompanied by a human- no... not quite human. A mechanical girl, with a mind filled with the digital landscape the Earth called 'Internet'. Knowledge flowed into the god as he probed her... and he gained her name. She was Brad, a Pirate-digital Fairy currently using the physical body of Hiro. He also became aware of the two other entities sitting on her shoulder. The Daemon Hikari, and Nathan. Both as ghosts, and unable to do anything in the physical world... (Even this realm was 'physical' to the digitised state that gods still didn't quite understand..)

Such strange visitors indeed! Chrono was an old god, and he stroked his beard though looked with the eyes of disbelief. "Arachne?" He stated. "You.. dare... to invade my Time Keep?"

The dark robed figure gave an enigmatic smile as she bowed before the Lord of Time. "Chronos... you are amongst Lucas's most powerful allies, are you not?"

"Allies? She simply spoke of some work needing to be done... and I have done so. You have created holes in time that will take me decades to repair. Give me one good reason I shouldn't just erase you from the time stream to fix this mess?"

"Is that a threat?" Arachne asked slowly.

Chornos scoffed. "Dear, you are so 'very' special... you have learned many of the secrets of Time. You even have found a.. companion that had the Key's to my Keep... or rather, 'stole it'... However, you can not be seriously challenging a god... and not the god of Time."

Arachne stared at him for a moment, and made a small gesture to Brad.

The cybernetic-girl activated a program. A hole in time appeared, and a strange shadow of a figure jumped out. Chrono felt arms wrap around him... and the most awful pain entered his world. It was beyond description as he could feel the very 'essence' of what he was tear apart. "W-What is..." he gasped trying to get out of the shadow... but not able to.

Arachne took out a knife... as she slowly approached Chrono, locked as he was by the shadow. "You know... the problem I always had with gods, is that they never took me seriously. Nobody... ever did. Nobody thought I could do anything... but... I do challenge you, Time God... I know you don't know the future because.... I've already won."

"What... do you.. hope... to .. accomplish... Arachne." Chrono spoke, sounding older and older with every word.

Arachne shrugged. "The gods hurt my family... what I do is quite natural to a human, I assure you. Push me.. bury me... deny me existence... and laugh at my attempts to become more then what I am. I am a woman pushed to the brink, Chrono... you did not take me seriously. Nobody has..." she stepped closer to him, the knife glinting in its strange sheen of metal. You will never know how... empty, I feel."

Chrono stared at the knife. "...I might. I'm a Time God.. I am old and young. Old enough to know everything... but too young for any to understand..."

Arachne paused for a moment, her hand wavering. Inside the god's eyes... she saw his youth. She saw everything the god had seen... and to see it all, with the eyes of a child. Chrono was not joking. She would be slaying someone who was so young.. as well as old.

Nathan, the digital fairy stared at what was happening. He looked desperate as he flew to the knife, trying desperately to pull it away. "I- can't do anything!" He cried out.

Arachne struck... and the Time-God was no more. The cogs of the castle, fell silent with the passing of their master. Time itself was at a loss, as it just tried to continue as it always had done... the Witch stood back a moment, as the shadow figure followed after her.

"Did... we just kill a god?" Asked Brad shocked a bit at this.

Arachne nodded. "The time God... thanks to our new ally."

The shadows started to depart from the figure as he came into existence. "You didn't say you were going to kill him!" he said very distressed at what just happened.

Arachne stared at him a moment. It was tricky to pull this... being from the time stream. He still needed to be moulded, of course. To fit the shape she desired him to become. "God's are not alive boy... don't dwell on it too much. We have invaded the Keep of Chrono... here is where we will begin our operation and fix the issues of our lives. I will get my daughter back.. and the two of you will never transform by the sunlight. Everything will be fixed." she grinned.

"How come I hurt him?" asked the teenaged boy.

"Because you are a time-paradox at the moment," explained Arachne. "I am going to feed you some magical knowledge... to fix all this. You will have power enough... all of you will."

Suddenly there was a bright light... All three turned to see the god chrono's body, shift and change. It turned into hues of gold, and became smaller... until it became a crown. Arachne smiled a bit as she bent down to look at it. "Well now... am I to be the Time Queen?" She thought to herself as she looked it over. So many secrets.. she would know so much. Enough to become a goddess to time itself. Then she looked at it with such anger and hate. How dare the gods... how dare there! "Brad, send this into the future... the future of everything."

"Uh... where? Why?" Asked the cybernetic girl confused. "How.. far?"

"I don't care. I didn't kill him to become a goddess by taking his power. I am a human challenging reality itself! I will shape reality in my own image, not become a reflection of the universe as gone before. Send this crown to the end of time itself... I will not play their stupid game."

Nervously Brad used the time travel program as far as it would go. The equations were pushed to the edge of their ability to function. Reality in the extreme future was... unknown. Almost like a new singularity.

Arachne smiled. "See this Chronos... this is what I saw. Your art... your tapestry of time, amounted to nothing. Your crown is like a work of art that none will ever see. Buried away, in the depths of time...farewell." And so she tossed it into the portal.

The unknown teenager looked at the dark portal as it closed. "But... in the furthest future possible? The universe... nothing would exist there."

"... exactly." giggled Arachne.

Time was effectively, 'dead'.
