And so it came to be, that the Earth- settled, upon this strange existence.
Lilly was exhausted.
Her body was ravaged and tired from the experience of her first heat cycle. It had been almost four days and finally, the fire that was lit in her young- growing form finally abated. At last she was able to sleep, but she wasn't getting any rest at all- not after what she had heard. Not when the sky had completely changed.
She got up shakily, stumbling slightly. Her red fur bristled as she took out her telescope resting on the window. It was one her father gave her, and meant a great deal to the teenage squirrel-girl. She viewed the various stars, with the curiosity of an explorer. Her twin tails practically waged as she saw things for the first time. A strange experience everyone was sharing at this moment.
Even the lights of the town and various cities had been dimmed so that everyone could see them. Beautiful, curious points of light that were so distant yet mesmerising.
It felt good to be able to move and stretch her legs. Lilly rubbed her sore chest. Her... breasts, that's what they were... she couldn't deny it now. They were there, and still growing at least an A-cup if not a B. All four of them, displaying her form as female. For the first time in ages, she had actually wanted to be a boy again, just to stop the pain she felt... fearful of it coming back. That which tormented and hurt her so much...
... but she got through it.
There was a quiet knock on the door."...Sis?" called a girl's voice.
Lilly turned around from the telescope. She quickly put on some underwear and a vest, wincing slightly. Her chest still.. ached a bit. A little tepidly, she opened the door.
"H-Hey..." said Lilly on seeing Stacy and let her in. The squirrel girl tensed a bit seeing her sister's arm with the slight scratch mark. "I'm so sorry! I'm sorry Stacy!" She said tearfully.
Stacy shook her head. "It's okay sis... I'm sorry, I didn't realise how.. weird you get when... well..."
Lilly looked down. It was just so... horrible. "...neither did I," admitted the animal girl. "It doesn't excuse that I hurt you though" she said distantly. How could she even do it! She didn't even know it was her. It just... happened.
"You didn't hurt me Lilly. I know you wouldn't. You were just caught up in something you never felt before. You wouldn't hurt me intentionally."
Lilly's expression became a little darker. "I'll find a spell to stop it from happening to me," she said angrily. How... how dare this... body just 'force' something on her like this! She accepted she was female, but she wouldn't accept this! She can't accept that she became some 'animal'...
Stacy shook her head again looking at her with calm sad eyes. "Lilly... sis... I know you think you can do that- an' you can do a lot of things... but... you're talkin' about a basic biology. I don't think you can change it."
"I'll figure out some way," vowed the squirrel girl. "I ain't some dumb animal! I'm..."
"You're my sister," said Stacy hugging her suddenly. She was worried to given how soon this was after her cycle... but it looked like this was the right moment. The two siblings smiled rather contentedly. "So... you've seen the sky. Any ideas?"
"I don't know. But one thing I do know... we are not in an alternative universe."
"Huh? looks pretty different to me..."
"Cause there ain't no alternate universes. There's just different levels of the same one. That's what I learned ages ago anyway." Lilly looked at her window again. Then The squirrel girl frowned slightly as she noticed something. "Some stars... are cycling the same colours. exactly the same... at the same time. Look..."
It took a while for Stacy to focus and see the pattern, but then she gasped. "You're right! Maybe if... we draw the shape?" the human girl used a camera to take pictures of the night sky, and to get an idea of what to draw by picking out those that were the same colour at the same moment.
The lines appeared as vague symbols...
"That's... a spider." said Lilly. Very obvious symbol really...
Stacy nodded. They continued to draw another symbol, but they got even more archaic from there. Slowly they had to try and piece together what each picture might mean.
"That's an angel," said the squirrel girl after looking through the book. "But it holds a double meaning to it... like... chaos?"
"Chaos angel? Hm..." Stacy nodded. "What about this one?"
"That's the symbol for daughter, in ancient greek." said Lilly. "Spider daughter... and for some reason, it's going towards the number 'three'."
"Three is magic, right?" asked the human girl. She had been studying quite a bit.
"Yeah... this is weird. Are we... looking at new constellations?"
"Hm... and what is that?" Said Stacy.
Lilly's blood turned cold. That symbol... was like her father's initials. A single symbol, that she knew so well. A message from her own father, written in the stars? "It says... help. Damn it we need to get into that other world where Lucas is! Dad's there!"
"But how?"
"I dunno!" What were her options? "I'm... I'm going to ask The Woman."
Stacy looked tensely. "Venus? But... you said every time you do... isn't that dangerous?"
Stacy didn't really know much about Lilly's relationship to Venus... only that it was supposed to be quite close. It did spark a slight jealousy into her, after all... why was Lilly so special? But then again, who knew anything of how the gods worked and why they did anything.
"I feel funny for a while yeah... but I got no choice. I need her to tell me how to get there."
"I'm going with you!" Stacy insisted. "I'm just a human, but you're my sister and you're going nowhere without me. Besides... I really want to see a goddess."
Lilly smiled a bit. "You ain't 'just' a human sis... thanks."
Magic girl Six looked up at the stars.
So... this is why she had been placed in the furthest deserts of the Earth. TO see this display. She could see every single star, and was able to see all the curious lights and patterns... pictures in the sky, telling her various aspects of what was going on. As if it were a television to the gods themselves...
Being a magic girl, she found herself able to interpret the images quite clearly.
"I'm the last of the magic girls on this world now," she said softly as she took out her die. "So what's my mission?"
Still she felt the need to move on... and there ahead, she saw something strange. It was much like a pyramid, only this was cube-shaped. Had this... always been here? On Earth?
"curious and strange, hmm" the magic girl looked over it.
She walked up to it and placed her hand onto the strange sandy structure, as curious runes just suddenly lit up. The magic girl took a step back tensely as the door to an anti-chamber appeared.
"One.. Two.. Three...." she glanced about pausing. "Four five six!" she whispered, feeling her power charge up. Her body started to glow.
Carefully she moved into the structure, as the door behind her suddenly closed. "Hey!" Oh... you.. sheesh! Fine!" she walked on... past cobwebs, and the sound of scuttling creatures. This place felt so old and ancient... she readied her die, just in case, hoping it will aid her in this place.
She found a strange room... it was mostly barren, except there was an empty sarcophagus. It was resting on the wall, its door open. Upon that door was a strange emblem of a woman with six breasts painted on. It looked almost... mechanical. Curiously enough, it looked almost like it was... 'moulded'...
Magic girl six continued to look around, but couldn't find anything else.
"What am I supposed to do now?" she asked rolling her dice.
There was a flash of light and... it made a cheese sandwich.
Annoyed, the magic girl grabbed the sandwich and ate it. Okay... so there had to be 'something' here... This was a puzzle... like a game of zelda? So what would Link do?
Doug looked about not quite sure where he was. It was a strange blank flatland. But what scared her- no- 'him' most, was the fact that the entire earth was now in the sky. Strangely it felt like he was looking in some kind of weird... mirror?
He had to get out of here and back to Earth. "Concentrate... you just have to get back to earth. Just think of home"
...but nothing happened.
"Why can't I get back!" He said.
Carefully Doug examined his body. Everything... certainly seemed back to normal. That really strange and weird transformation was fortunately, gone. He did feel a little 'younger' then he used to be. At least in his mid-twenties. So perhaps this strange transformation wasn't all that bad, if it let him be his real self.
Still right now, he was just a normal human in a weird world...
There seemed to be a forest up ahead, so he carefully made his way in that direction. Trees... seemed like the way to go.
"We're going to be taking a holiday Jeff," said her mother looking up at the giant... little girl.
Jeff looked down on her mother. "Oh... what... do I do?"
"You're coming with us of course! God, I'm not leaving you alone. But I think maybe a change of scenery will help you."
Jeff looked a little blankly at her. She couldn't even express how depressed she felt in her life. How sad everything made her, and how pointless and cruel the entire universe was. She had been alone for years, unchanging. A little giant girl. The only thing she had were the clothes they made that covered her up...
..Jeff was ashamed of what she was. A...a big toy. That was all. her father wanted her to be something, and even if he was a jerk... his words had hit home. That Jeff was never going to be anything but live on handouts.
"Where are we going?"
"To London," smiled Jeff's mother.
"L-london?!" The giant girl looked appauled.
"You always wanted to go there dear. Why not?"
"H-How? i can't even board a plane! I can't swim, an' I cant take a ship! It will take weeks to get there!" The giant looked upset at the very idea of it. Did her mother evne underststand how bad things were for her? She was forever trapped in one country. She could never leave... never.
"I've... made some special arrangements dear. Just trust me, okay?"
"...yes mom."
