*Who am I?
Well, I'm sure you know who I am. Let me just do a little to describe myself first to get that picture in your head. I have untold powers at my disposal that I am still discovering. Strange abilities that come from some weird aspect of the universe, and all of it related to chance and the cosmos. Is that enough of a clue?
I'm magic girl six.
yeah, that's right. You want to know more? I'm not too surprised. I'm not famous, I didn't do anything that special, I certainly didn't save the world... so I suppose you're asking, that technically means I can't be a magic girl right? After all, they should actually be doing something positive.
Well, I certainly wasn't always a girl. A... weird looking one at that. Don't get me started about the pink hair and six breasts. I have to wear three bras for all three rows of them. God I am starting to hate that. My hair looks like a giant crab. It's weird, but I guess it kind of 'grew' on me.
So here I am, on a case. Well, more a discovery. I don't really get missions, I just sort of... find things. Something weird was delivered here. Ever see anything in the mail that shouldn't be there? No address, no return address... where do they go? What to do with it? What if they came from somewhere else, just waiting for someone to pick them up? I heard some kids that ordered x-ray specs actually got real x-ray specs... one of the weird results of this new age of magic. Still that potion to turn me back to normal never came about.
Oh, I'm monologuing? Darn... shouldn't be doing that. I broke that habit but lately, ever since the star changed, I knew things were going to get weirder. I promise I'll stop now...*
The teenage pink haired girl looked in the empty loading bay. Something glowed in her hand... and she frowned a little when she saw the box on the ground and nobody in sight. "I'm... too late," she said worried. The package had been opened... and the contents, were gone.
She tensed slightly as she heard someone behind her. It was... another girl? (God damn it why was she calling herself a girl now?)
"...Magic Girl Six?" called the voice.
Magic Girl Six calmly placed a hand behind her back, as something glowed. She had called 'her weapon'... whoever this was, she wasn't going to take any chances.
"I just want to talk to you," said the girl.
Magic girl six stared quietly, stepping into the shadows. Then she saw the girl enter into the warehouse. She was also a freak... just like her- though perhaps, not quite as much. She had three breasts on her torso. So... this was magic girl Three. What in the world did she want with her? "... how did you find me?" said Six.
Becca looked around. "I heard you... you're... thoughts? I'm not really sure," said the green haired girl a little unsure.
"Oh... that. Yes. Seems you can hear that if you're close enough to me. I'll make sure not to do that in future."
Becca calmly approached, though she was nervous. She didn't have her own powers any more... and it was a little worrying to be near a magical girl, who's powers could do... pretty much anything to her 'civilian' form. Still, magic girl six had to be one of them... she was a number, and had powers related to their own... she had to be a good person. She just had to be. "We've lost our own magics... but you still have your own. Do you know why?"
Magic girl six shrugged. "No idea. First I heard about that. I really don't care."
"Why not?" pressed Becca blocking the way out, as Magic Girl Six looked to be about to leave.
The magic girl took out her strange weapon... it looked like a huge cube in the palm of her hands. "Please stand aside..."
Becca swallowed. Such a strange looking weapon was hard to know what it would do... but that it was a magic girl weapon, made it more deadly to her. More then a gun or anything else could be. "Look... I know... I know things didn't work out well for you. But... you're a magic girl like me. We...we should work together. I can help you!"
Magic girl six gave her a very bitter look. "Help me? Help me with what exactly. There is nothing to do. You saved the universe... you fulfilled the mission... 'our' mission, as I understand it."
Becca bit her lip. Is this what she was upset about? Because she didn't get to help? "It wasn't a walk in the park you know! Do you have any idea how hard it was?!"
Magic girl six flashed her eyes angrily. "Do you have any idea how hard it is loosing my life... and knowing it wasn't even necessary? Maybe I even wanted to help you... but you didn't want me. You didn't even need me. You practically ignored me! So yeah... I'm done with this conversation."
The strange girl then threw the cube onto the ground. It became smaller, into the shape of a die, as strange runes appeared in it. Just as quickly, a curious portal shimmered into existence, as the magic girl picked up the die...
.. and disappeared, within the swirling vortex.
I hate those other numbers... oh, I guess you're now wondering where I'm going? I have no idea. It's not as if I can actually control where I go. Damn it, I really should stop this... seems the other magic girls can hear if I think too hard.
Becca frowned a little as the portal closed. Talking to magic girl six could have gone better...
