"Exposure to the rays of the altered sun turns people into their deepest... er... sexual fantasies," explained the reporter, who was safe inside a studio. "It seems only people over 18 are affected..." - he looked at it oddly, wondering why it had such an arbitrary rule. - "It also seems that any clothes the changed wears become the ones the change caused. Our reporters have confirmed this through...first-hand experience."
A blonde reporter with a microphone appeared onthe screen beneath the tag "Earlier This Morning." She pointed up at the sun with her free hand. The sun was now an odd, plaid mixture of all colors - as, oddly, were its rays, hitting places in specific linear patterns - and she was bathed in its light.
As she did so, she began to change - her breasts shrunk, her legs and arms getting muscular. Her skin became a rich chocolate color, her face growing rugged and sculpted like a man's, her clothes fading away except for one appearing on the crotch.
The the camera began lowering in height all of a sudden, and it seemed clear the change was happening to the cameraman as well. When the camera settled down to a clear (if shaky) picture, It was focused down at the rest of the news crew. The camera focused first on the cameraman's own new... breasts... covered by what seemed like a ballet-style leotard. Further down, it was easy to see the frilly skirt. The camera moved.
The man on the right had seemingly become a cute blond French Maid. She yelled out a "What the??" in a cute French-accented voice. As she took off the apron and grabbed her coat, her coat changed into the apron again, and attached to her like one. Meanwhile, blushing like there was no tomorrow, a younger, naked Pamela Anderson just about panicked, and repeatedly tried putting on the few backup outfits they had for the reporter, only to have them disappear.
After giving the audience a good look at the goings-on backstage (and probably upon realizing he was broadcasting nude footage of a coworker,) the cameraman turned back around to show the anchor. She - or, rather, he - was now a beautiful black man, wearing only a tiger-striped pair of swimming trunks - though still holding the microphone.
He seemed to be mentally intact, though, if a little confused and disoriented. Still, as soon as he realized he was back on camera, he pulled himself together and began to try and come up with something to say about this turn of events - in a Jamaican accent that surprised him at first, but he kept going.
Jon thought about it. It was clear that this was due to his wish, and he also knew why the odd "only at eighteen" rule - he didn't find the notion of doing anything illegal interesting. But why did the stone affect the sun, which was so far from its range?
"Zoe, you'll have to do the grocery shopping for us from now on." - said Linda, Jon's mother. Zoe just nodded, stunned by this turn of events, but then something clicked. "Mom? How will I get to the grocery store and back with enough groceries for all of us without driving?". Linda winced.
"What are we going to do?" asked Jon's father Mark, shutting off the TV. "We can't hide in here forever. We need food; there's enough in the refrigerator to last us...?"
"One day," replied his wife Linda. "One and a half if we stretch it. Guess we'll have to wait for night-time and hope this sun thing doesn't affect us by then."
Jon ran back upstairs. If the stone could affect the sun this one time, maybe it could do it again! Maybe he could fix this mess!
