Jay poked a video camera out of his bedroom window, which was heavily covered up, and hooked it into his television. now he could see what was going on outside without risk to himself.
He focused the camera on the street below. He recognized a familiar group of people who must have been caught out in the sun. He frowned, a bit concerned, but he knew there was nothing he could do. He was a scientist, and had to approach this scientifically.
"Fascinating...they have formed into some sort of social group," he commented. They wouldn't under normal circumstances. The group consisted of only one male. Steve Farber, and several females. Stephanie Wright, Nadine Ferguson, and Margaret Wood...three girls who wouldn't be caught dead with each other.
"Vacant blank stare, a more pronounced brow..." It was hard to tell, even with the zoom, more details from this distance. He focused on their behavior and movements. The three females seemed to be clustered around Steve as they seemed to be foraging in the neighbor's bushes.
He watched them for a while before he realized something. All three females were very rough and aggressive with each other, but they all seemed to be tending to Steve, who didn't show any signs of aggression.
