Before the Start of the Second Class

Becca was taking a moment to rest and daydream in her second class, actually feeling a bit more cheerful than she had ever felt before. She never felt so confident in this form like she was now, something she had experience as Biff, and something she didn't thought she was ever going to experience again. She was actually so happy that she unconsciously was humming; thankfully quiet enough to not gather any attention, though Trident did pick up on it.

Trident couldn't help but to smile, grad that her spirit was so high. And, to think the reason why Becca was so happy was because she defied Trident's order, sparing the woman that was once her foe. Trident didn't like it, but she didn't sense any negative energy from Shadoe Fae anymore, so Becca might actually have snapped her back to normal. She doesn't feel comfortable with the idea of that shadow siren being around Becca, but maybe she was just being overprotective.

Abruptly, a soft knocking took her attention away Becca and toward the door. She saw the teacher flew to the door way, considering that this woman was a small fairy, and held out her hand. Golden powder materialized from her body and used it to actually twisted the doorknob, opening it up.

"Ah, hello, Mrs. Crawford, what can I do for you," the fairy asked with energetic cheerfulness, maybe slightly too much.

"Could I talk with Mrs. Meadows for a moment?"

"Oh golly, it would be no problem at all~!" She glanced toward Becca's direction and zipped into her face with amazing pace, golden dust flying behind her. "Rebecca," she song, "Emily would like to see you~!" She hovered over the embarrass girl as she got up, slowly walking toward Mrs. Crawford with the fairy flying playfully around Becca.

"Ummm...t-thank you, Ms. Darter," Mrs. Crawford nervously said, turning with a blushing shade on her face. She took a few steps, but stopped immediately to apparently considering something, rubbing her left-hand on the back of her head. She turned her head toward Ms. Darter, still holding that nervous smile on her face, "Arr, Ms. Darter; I'm grad that you are happy and all, and I don't mean any disrespect, but could you control yourself a bit more. I can understand that being a fairy is affecting your behavior, but you are a teacher and you should act with a bit more...well...professionalism."

The fairy hovered in the air, looking at Mrs. Crawford as if she doesn't understand, but then realized what she meant and grinned anxiously in shame. "O-oh my gosh, I-I'm sorry about that! It is just that, ever since I changed into this, I am so full of energy and mischievousness. But, you're right, what I did was out of line and I have humiliated both of you in front of everyone here. Please forgive me," she said, ending with a bow, surprising hovering in the air, flipping her fairy wings like a hummingbird.

"It's okay; I know you didn't mean anything bad about it! But, remember who you are and keep yourself in check, okay?" She stopped and sighed, and added, "With all the changes to this world lately, it is a very important lesson for you to teach, a lesson of never losing oneself to the chaos within." Snapping out of her brief depression, she smiled and took Becca out, leaving the fairy woman to considered what she said.

Outside, with the door to the classroom shut, Becca glanced upward and smile, asking in a polite tone, "What can I do for you, Mrs. Crawford?"

"Heh, easy there, sweetheart; recall what I said to Ms. Darter in there, though I am happy to see you as well. Anyway, yesterday I said that I would like to talk with Trident privately. If it okay with both of you, could I 'borrow' Trident for a moment? Like I promised before, this isn't a trap or a trick; I just want to talk to her, person to person."

Becca lowered her head to Trident, waiting for her to answer. Trident groaned, still having mixed feeling about this, but simply nodded her head. One deeming thing at least was the fact that Mrs. Crawford actually addressed her like a human being, and not a doll.

Mrs. Crawford held out her left hand, letting Trident climbed out of the pocket and walked onto her hand. She lowered it toward her own pocket, watching as Trident crawled inside. She glanced back toward Becca and gently notion to her, "Thank! I'll see you at the end of school, and return Trident back to you."

She smiled at Mrs. Crawford, said her goodbye to both of them, and walked back inside. Mrs. Crawford smiled back, her eyes showing a motherly kindness, and walked onward back to her office. She took a few steps, when suddenly she stopped once again, this time because of the negative energy that was heading toward them. Trident must have picked up on it, because she was getting really fidgety in her pocket.

She waited for the figure to walk near them, wondering what was giving off that much negative energy. Finally, the figure appeared and leaving Mrs. Crawford to stared in shock. She knew who this figure was, considering that she was a cheerleader like Sarah, but never expected her to look like a succubus. The figure leered at her and angrily hissed, and then walked onward with swaying of her hips, very seductive in nature. Though she was shocked, she didn't seem to be showing any sign of being afraid of her, but she was still worry.

"Gee, that was intense! One of your 'friends', perhaps," Trident asked, a bit stunned as Mrs. Crawford was.

"Nah, her negative energy is different; it doesn't seem like she was corrupted by their dark seed or even with them. That girl was Tiffany, one of the cheerleaders that go to Becca's high school. She was a bit...ummm...overly romantic and spirited, but I have never seen her like this before." She looked down at Trident for a moment, before looking back at Tiffany. "Nonetheless, something is telling me that I might need to keep my eyes on her."

Vice Principal's Office

"Okay, so what do you want from me," Trident bluntly asked, recently got out from Mrs. Crawford's pocket and sat down, Indian style.

Mrs. Crawford had yet to sit down when the question was made, so she wasn't able to answer immediately. Finally seated, she smiled at her and held out one of her left-handed finger to send him a message to wait, "I'll be happy to tell you, but let have a little privacy." She changed into her 'Shadoe Fae's' form, and a shadow began to crawled downward from her feet and spread all over the room like it did before.

This caused Trident to panic, but Mrs. Crawford realized this and motioned to her that everything was okay. "Sorry, I just thought it would help keep everything privacy. Now, to your question, I want to be of service to you guys. I want to make up the horrible things I had done."

"Hmph, is that so," she harshly replied, though there was less venom to it, "What can you do?"

"Well, I can help find the other girls and help them with their training. I'm not sure how you guys find your partner, but you must realize that there will be many girls without any partner, so I could act as a 'substitute teacher' for them. Remember, the whole thing depends entirely on the sun and random chance."

"Another thing," Mrs. Crawford added after letting Trident take everything in, "This Shadow Veil you see right now could be very useful in training the girls. I could speed up the artificial time inside or slow it down, making time outside the veil to either slow down or sped up. I could turn five minutes into an hour in the veil, so the girls could get three hours of training in fifteen minutes."

Trident cocked her right eyes at this, reluctant to mentally admitting that it does sound promising.

"I must inform you about one more thing," Mrs. Crawford continued, this time with a tone that got Trident curious, "Thinking that he should know what was going on, I told the Principal everything about the whole Magical Girls situation."

Trident just froze for a moment, before turning red in the face and shouted, "W-WHAT?!!! WHY?!!! NO ONE SHOULD KNOW THEIR MAGICAL IDENTITY!!!"

"Sorry, but this isn't the type of thing to kept secret. I mean, this isn't a cartoon or television show, there are real dangers presented to these poor darlings! And, it isn't 'too' hard to find them, considering that there are not many human girl that could fit into a number-based theme. Beside, I am responsible for not only Becca and the other girls, but I am also responsible for everyone in the school, and who know if one day that this location would get attack. I trusted Mr. Erin and I'm sure that he knows how important to keep the situation from spreading too far."

Trident growled for a moment, but she let it go with a sigh. As much as she hated to admit it, what she said did make some sense. And, maybe there might be some upsides to this whole deal.

Waiting for Trident to calm down, Mrs. Crawford decided to dive into something more personal, "Umm, Trident, I hope that you don't mind me asking this, but what is your story? From what I can tell, it seems that you ended up just like me."

Trident was growling now; hopping back upward into a defensive standing pose, her face was in a snarl. Apparently, Mrs. Crawford's last comment hit a chord with her. "HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT!!! I AM NOTHING LIKE YOU, NOT A MONSTER WHO TOOK ENJOYMENT IN TRYING TO KILL US!!!"

Winched at this and feeling a bit hurt, Mrs. Crawford tried to explained, "And, I-I am v-very sorry about that...but, that isn't what I meant."

"What do you mean," Trident growled, though a bit more softly.

"Well, what I meant was that you're being consumed by your role. I can understand that you must help trained Becca and help out with any other matters. There isn't anything wrong with that, I want to help as well. But, as important as that is, what about you?"

All of Trident's anger abruptly halted, like a car before a stop-sign, since he was not expecting that question. "Huh?! What about me?"

"I don't know who you were before the sun, whatever you was an adult or a child, but your love ones must be worry sick about you. Since you time with Becca, have you ever consider your life before your changes and what you left behind?"

"W-well, I-I-I...I haven't really thought about that," Trident mention to her, sadden by the fact that she never really gave it much thought. "I don't really remember."

"Maybe we can go this weekend and backtrack to the first place you remember immediate after your transformation. We can also look around for any more Magical Girls or their partners. If you don't mind, I would also like to take a friend of mine with us, Mayan, the secretary outside in the Front Office. We...haven't hung out since the whole sun issue, and I thought we could hang together and have a picnic while we're at it."

Trident cocked her eyebrow once again and sighed, "Oh, all right, I guess it will be okay." A silence followed afterward, Trident sat back down, this time in a more relax stance. "Ummm...sorry, by the way. That little outburst I made 'was' a bit over-the-line."

"Heh, you don't have to apologize, it is okay. Truth is, you were correct, I was a monster. The only thing I can do now is try my best to be my old self again." She paused for a moment and then a wily smile came over her face, unconsciously licking her lips, which made Trident to become worried, "Though, now that I am Vice Principal, I can't just let you go and skip school. Until we find out where your love ones are, and how old you really are, you are going to deal with homework like any normal children. Of course, I need to see what grade level you are in, but don't worry, we will be discussing this far later~!"

The only thing Trident could do was gulp at that news, her right eye was twitching nervously.
