Anneza floated in space, at the Lagrange point of the Earth and the Moon. They looked at the Earth... and the moon on either side, which seemed to be singing to each other. Astra was under her arm, looking at the elder girl sadly. The two seemed to have a soft glow around them, bathed by the eternal lights of the Sun, Earth and Moon.

"The end?" whispered Astra.

Anneza nodded. "I... guess. That is what they are singing," she said listening with her strange silvery antennas. Everything was becoming quieter... each time she would expect a new crescendo, but it only seemed to become quieter. Every star in the universe was singing the same tune now, focused entirely on the Earth.

"Can we sing with them?" asked the young space-girl.

Anneza looked to Astra with her soft green eyes. "I guess... we can try."

Astra brimmed with glee at the thought, as she sang her song through the top of her voice in the void of space.

iridescent sun,
is this the end,
or will you return

Anneza glanced to the bright normal sun. It really was the end, wasn't it? She looked to her 'daughter' and tried to sing the song with her, though her words were more sombre.

Changed our lives,
our given form,
what was the point of it all

Astra leaned closer to Anneza as she sang her next part.

We met people we never could,
like stars in the passing void,
Their lives touched us all,

Anneza and Astra sang the next verse together.

But life goes on,
life goes on,
Life goes on...

Astra smiled to Anneza now as she got into it. The tempo changed a little as sudden small lights glistened on the Earth in every colour of the rainbow. Like colourful dust painted on the white clouds of the beautiful planet. The song became a chorus, as all joined into the medley.

*Was this a dream?
Or some strange, fantasy?
Will we dance again,
or stand still in timeless sands,

Oh, Iridescent Sun,
A strange star that you are,
Will Earth ever be the same,
As a new age now dawns

This age is at an end,
Friends lost and gained,
circumstances changed,
But life goes on...

Life goes on...
Life goes on...
life goes on...
life goes on....

Am I who you see,
When you look at me.
What is it that you see,
in the sum of history

Will this age be remembered,
As we embrace the future.
Should we be afraid,
or look forward change

This world of magic,
this land of people,
How did you measure my potential
Magical sun made of rainbows?

We lived lives we never could,
thought things we never dreamed
Though not always welcomed
Our lives were simply changed,

Life goes on
life goes on,
life goes on,

Life.. goes... on...*

The End.
