Geoffrey Snr was not sure what to make of what he saw as he carefully pried open the strange shield that was inside the core of the giant clockwork girl. He stared at... it. The 'engine' of the clockwork girl. A giant crystal, that seemed to be made of an unusual quartz? It had such an unusual vibration even to the air itself, as it was exposed to the air.
Geoffrey snr was aware of many sciences and technologies. He was aware of how a quartz watch operated, but there was something very... very strange about this. Mr Aurelius was not a believer in magic... but... it certainly looked like it was something magical. The way it was protected, he quickly put the Sider Scanner on and directed it to the crystal. It looked a lot like a star trek Tricorder and Sider didn't tell everything it could do. However he did have it set to detect any dangerous radiation, something which the mad scientist didn't mind too much as that was relatively normal human technology. It detected no gamma rays, beta, or alpha... so whatever this was, it was not radioactive.
So why was it shielded? Perhaps to protect 'it'? It looked like it was something very delicate, and yet also so very beautiful. He thought to just tap it carefully, with a screwdriver-
There was a bright flash of light.
It enclosed the entire warehouse, as everything was suddenly changed in some way. There was not a word to describe what happened... and where there were no words, it drew them... that which was called the enemy...
Geoffrey snr blinked. Or at least.. he hoped he did. For all he knew, the universe might have blinked for him. Everything warped.. twisted itself before his eyes. All he could see were giant cogs dancing before his eyes.
The warehouse itself, became huge... as large in scale for the giant clockwork girl, as if she was now normal sized relative to it. To the outside however, size was not changed. It was only the inside that became larger... far larger then it was capable of being. But that wasn't the only thing happening. Mr Aurelius was becoming smaller. It was like the light inside his son's body was a magnet, and it drew him inside the strange mechanical construct.
He tried to scream, but it was no use. Suddenly the entry port closed behind him...
and he was trapped inside.
The constructed mechanical clockwork, was affected in the same way, as the warehouse. More so even. It had become gigantic.. huge... it blinked.
It lived...
