"What, no 'Holy crap, portal'?" - Asked Lucas, smiling - "Seems Cass was right about you."
"I'm a mad scientist, Lucas. Whatever happens, I can explain." - Said Sider.
"The badassitude of that statement indicates you as a bigger geek than I. I respect that, I really do." - Said Lucas, smiling - "So. What did Cass tell you?"
"That the new moon is, well, evil. And that you need my help to survive it long enough to fight it. How much power do they have there?" - Asked Sider.
"Nigh omnipotence, I would think. Guided by the mind of one sociopath wannabe." - Said Lucas.
"And you want to go after them there?" - Asked Sider.
"Why should I be afraid of him?" - Asked Lucas, smiling - "He's only a god."
Sider smirked.
"I need cash for the inventions, Lucas. And three or four days. Plus I will ask you to help me collect data..."
"No problem at all. I can even pay double so you can make some backups. The fight there may be a bit too much, whatever equipment I..." - Said Lucas.
"Now, now. From what you've told me, we have little time. Plus, why should I worry about the safety of anything I make?" - Asked Sider - "He's only a god."
