Monday I'll be putting up a document with the design guideline for 1.0 and future updates and features we'll be debating on how to do best. I'll be using this list as reference for some things to think about BTW.
Fiction branches needs to be simple for those who want simple, but you should be able to unfold it to see more and more advanced features easily without cluttering your experience. That's a precarious balance as we want to please the power users, casual lurkers, those with specific concerns, and keep the site accessible and functional. Which is why this version is no where near taking the place of the current site. Trust me on that. It'll be several months of hard work at the least and more for testing and making sure it is a proper successor to the current system.
