Sunday was the day to do good deeds, Lilly decided. She and Stacy were allowed out (Stacy was of course told to keep an eye on her little sister) as she decided on where to take this whim of fancy thought. The squirrel girl was wearing her best dress given to her by her mom and dad. It was a simple pale yellow that worked well with her red fur. Her hair was made into two braids, of a similar style to Jenny's four. Her two tails were brushed, and her fur almost seemed to shine. The girl couldn't really look any better.

"What exactly is on your mind sis?" Asked Stacy, the dinosaur's voice almost rumbling to the petite creature in front of him.

"I- I am gonna do some nice things for people," smiled the two-tailed squirrel, trying to find the strength in her voice of actually doing something of her own accord.

Stacy smiled and shook his head. "You really are a weird girl. Was I weird when young too?" He had to wonder.

"Er..." Lilly had to think about that as she scratched her ear. "I- I dunno. Not really. You were jus' my sister an' I was s'posed to take care of you." So much of that time was fading away from memory... but the important bits, she still remembered.

"Well now it's my turn," Grinned Stacy. "So, which way do we go?"

"Um..." Lilly wasn't sure. Was she supposed to look for a sign?

A magic girl uses the wisdom of her allies

The squirrel girl glanced back to her dinosaur big brother. "You got any ideas?"

Stacy thought about it. "What about the shops? I heard about a mouse that needs help stacking a few things. I bet he could use your help." It was a simple task, and Lilly was more then capable of it.

The little girl beamed at the idea. "Yay!" she exclaimed outstretching her arms.

Jeff was a little annoyed at this turn of events. He was trying his best to put off the image of what Ricky would need to sustain its- her- its- energy but to no avail. The image persisted in his head. All he could imagine were people powering her up with a hand crank as she moaned-

Urgh. No, just no. He- she- Argh! What was she? Not a girl. Not really a girl, but damn it she sure looked like one. Just the image in his head was annoying him and the idea that she needed a winding now and then by someone- yuck. It was just enough to make him feel just a little bit of pity for what Ricky became. Not a lot but... some. He couldn't give it up though... not... not yet. Ricky was too valuable for a non-changed person to have. She represented freedom to him, a way to get things done in the sunlight. Unlike others it appeared that Ricky just had to do what he asked...

He looked over the strange key in his hand. The top part of it looked like a miniature music box. Did it open? He couldn't find any way to open it. Despite it being so small, he could hear gears moving inside. It didn't appear to need any winding... which was weird. Maybe this thing worked like a quartz watch? Listening to it, the ticking noise almost sounded like the beating of a drum- or a heart? The length of the key was riddled with a curious embossed design. Not circuitry though.

It was a little odd as he had never heard of 'things' being made from the sunlight. Weird. Just... really weird. The key seemed to be part of Ricky in some way. Like a master key? That made sense. whoever held the key was the master. The sheer power he felt in his hand was overwhelming. What else could Ricky do, he wondered? Jeff doubted the little thing would be a capable fighter or anything like that... still... there might be other things it could do.

This key was like a remote control. It compelled it to do everything he wanted. His room was clean, and she cooked what had to be the best breakfast ever earlier! It was like having his very own maid! Ricky was the new sun-gofer, and it came perfectly packaged with a remote control! He could make her get all sorts of things now. It was almost too good to be true.

... It's Ricky though. Inside? Or... well... maybe not. Ricky always did stuff for him anyway. He glanced at the garbage glad that he didn't have to wait until sunset now. Ricky could sort that out. Actually he could do a lot of things now. Maybe later on he would get her to weed the garden, or something. But the fear was of her running out of energy while outside. Someone might see her! Then what if they took her away?

This could get a little more difficult he realised. Especially if others started to realise what was going on... maybe he could make Ricky to keep quiet about it? He could probably instruct it to return to him at sunrise.

He had to call Belle! This was going to be even more awesome then what he had planned with the mermaid.

The vapid cheerleader was so pretty, but damn it she was also so empty headed. Still he loved her. He actually hated it when everyone else made fun of her. Everyone thought the only reason anyone would be interested in Jeff was the fact that his family was rich. And of course, everyone just thought anyone would like Belle just for her looks. While this wasn't 'entirely' incorrect on Jeff's part, he did like her the more he got to know her. She was... relaxing for some weird reason compared to other girls he had known who always had some other agenda.

He used his mobile phone to speed dial to her. He felt so anxious as it rang, and finally, someone picked up. "Hey... Belle?"

"Like- Hi Razor," she said back. "Like- did you see the TV? They are saying like- different transformations might be like- evolutions? Sort of like Pokemon?"

Jeff had to smile at that. Belle was trying to sound smart. Still with Belle it wasn't a good idea to hear what she said, it was more the way she said it. It always struck a chord with Jeff. innocent? A little vapid? Yes, sort of. But so much more too.

"I haven't watched much television Babe," He said grinning. "Have I got a thing to show you tonight."

"Oh- like- the mermaid? Is it ready? Can you make it like- do tricks now?"

"Ha ha, well I haven't given up on it yet. I know it wasn't 'willing' to er... do that for you before"
The idea was simple enough. Make the mermaid do a few hoop tricks, as part of some chearleading routine and Belle would have impressed quite a few students and teachers alike. The mermaid could then pay for using his pool, and he got to impress Belle a bit, and well... it would have all worked out quite nicely for everyone. Unfortunately the Mermaid wasn't too cooperative on it. She absolutely refused to do any tricks. All she did was sulk. Hardly the best use for anyone.

... so he did that little prank instead. Which he had to admit, was still pretty damn hilarious.

"What you got to show me?" Belle asked.

"hehe... well... you might not believe it. I got a... well..." This was hard. How exactly to describe the weird toy thing in his room? "Hold on I gotta go up to see it so I can describe it." He walked up the stairs, and opened the door to see the girl still motionless in the same position. As he walked, her hair changed colour.

"hey like- what's that ticking noise?" Asked Belle straining to hear it.

"That's the thing. It- it looks sort of like a robot. It ticks," he said laughing. "Sort of like a clock- Oh damn it I just can't describe it. You gotta come and see."

"Oh that sounds so cool. Can it like- do anything?"

Jeff thought if it was a good idea to say this used to be Ricky. But... no. he just couldn't bring himself to say that! He had to keep that quiet. How many people knew about this?

"I'm still working it out," he replied. "But it eh... kinda needs charging. Don't worry, I'll make it do something. Want to come tonight and see? It'll be fun I promise!"

"I'll be there after sunset!" She said smiling.

Jeff smiled and turned off the phone. Oh this was going to be great! But staring at the ticking little girl thing, Razor felt a... strange little shiver. Looking at her like this was just awkward. Like looking at some kind of doll?

"Eh.. Ricky... you in there?

"..." The clockwork girl stood motionless, her glass eyes reflecting Razor's curious though clearly weirded out gaze. Out of some curiosity, he tapped Ricky's nose, the strange glass eyes, and ears... he wasn't sure why, it was like he had to be sure that she was... there? But there was no response.

"Can you hear me? Hey come on don't be- urgh... stop this!"

She must still be re-chargining, judging by that weird clicking noise. Well on to the video games, he thought as he left it in his room a little hesitantly. Still there was nothing to worry about... it couldn't move, and Jeff was in complete control of it anyway.
