Mikey fidgeted a little, twisting her head this way and that and getting used to the way her hair hung now. It did hang a bit lower than it had been at first, though much more manageable, but thanks to the fact that the distance between the top of her head and her shoulders was slightly increased, it was even a little longer than that. In any case, it felt a little odd, as did the rest of this. And...not only in the immediate physical sense, either.

"It's...it's kinda weird," she said. "I guess I kinda didn't think about...'bout growing up...as a girl, before now." She glanced down at her altered body again. "But...I guess that's what's gonna happen, isn't it?"

Jon almost felt like she wanted to tell Mikey about the stone, about how this was going to be fixed and people wouldn't necessarily be stuck with their changes. But...well, first off, Mikey still didn't seem upset so much as just a little stunned, and there was the fact that Jon had no idea what the wish she was planning would do for someone who honestly didn't mind their changes but didn't seem to really actively prefer them, and...well, she'd probably think Jon was crazy if she heard some story about magic and the fate of the world and such. She nodded gently. "Yeah," she said, "it looks that way, doesn't it?"

The robot-girl nodded. "It's so weird," she muttered. "I...I heard some of the other girls talking about their...um, you know," she said. "With the blood and stuff. Am...am I gonna have something like that? I didn't hear anything like that from other robots, but the ones that were talkin' about growing up didn't say anything like what happened to me, either..." She glanced up at Jon. "Y-um, you...have that, right?" she asked. "You're human, there? Is it...they said it hurts?"

Jon was a little taken aback by the question - she hadn't even considered the possibility that she might have turned out not human in that regard, but now that she knew about some of the other changed, like Sarah and Tim's sister, who'd become oviparous, she was grateful she was. She didn't know offhand how slugs' reproductive systems worked, but she didn't think it was likely to be something she'd want. "Uh, yeah," she said. "Yeah. It's...it is painful, yeah. And it's a nuisance as well. But...I'm sure you won't have to deal with that. I don't see why it would work that way."

Mikey nodded. "Yeah, I guess," she said. "It's...it's for having kids, isn't it? I dunno if I can even do that..."

Jon blanched slightly at that point - she honestly hadn't even considered that angle of it, beyond the simple fact of it she'd learned in junior high biology. The idea that her body could...yeesh. But...focus, focus. At the moment, Mikey needed someone to talk things over with more than she needed to not think too much about her change. She thought for a moment, trying to recall what she knew, then shrugged. "Even if you can," she said, "I don't think that would be necessary. It only really happens because a woman's body doesn't know when it might be having kids, so it just gets ready on a regular basis and then gets rid of the lining it prepared when it doesn't need it. I don't know too much about robot-changed, but I'd bet the parts of your body have more straightforward methods to communicate with your brain, so I don't think anything like that'd be necessary unless you actually were going to...to have kids."

Mikey nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense," she said. "I mean, most of that kind of stuff's all background tasks, but it is all controlled through my CPU, even if some of it has secondary processors handling the details. Would...would that mean I couldn't have kids unless I wanted to?" she mused.

Jon thought, then nodded. "That makes sense to me," she said. Mikey left the bathroom and headed back towards her bedroom, and the slug-girl turned to follow her. "But again, I don't know that much about it."

"Me neither," the robot-girl said. "I can read things from a lotta different people with changes like mine, but not everything is the same, so I never really know for sure what to expect. Some of the other robot-changed who grew up had their internals tear through their covering, and then they had to regrow it, kinda like a bug moults. But with me it just grew with me...so I dunno what's gonna happen."

She entered her room and began rifling through her dresser for clothes. Jon shut the door behind her; Mikey was sometimes a little more casual about undressing than she really should be, something Jon figured probably came from being the baby of the family. "Are you going to be okay?" she asked.

Mikey nodded. "I think so," she said. "It's...it's just kinda confusing, is all." She pulled her nightgown over her head, looked in the mirror, and gave a little "eep!"

Jon saw it too, and gave a low whistle - this sudden growth spurt had left nothing untouched. They were only beginning to develop, but covering that amount of normal developmental time in a single morning had left Mikey's formerly flat chest with two distinct mounds beginning to grow.
