Magic girl four, vaulted across the landscape of the suburbs. Her skirt blew across the wind, as her magical uniform showed her status as one of the numbers. She aimed her magical weapon at the latest unusual creature, to have come to the Earth. Some kind of strange haze of shadow, with red spikes on it. It had eyes like emerald gems. She thought it could look rather pretty if it wasn't so terrifying.

Instantly, she had opened the door between worlds and pushed it out, Banishing the creature. It went back to wherever it came from. She smiled a bit. It was certainly nice to fix these problems before they became problems, though she had to wonder on just why this was happening. Why were these creatures finding their way into their world, where there was so little magic for them to feed on?

"That is the last one," Artemis said appearing behind her with a nod.

Magic girl four smiled back to her. "Doin' this with you is a lot easier."

Artemis giggled. "Uh huh. Mummy sees a lot of things an' wants to help!" She smiled. She guessed her mother would also help her with schoolings. Doing all this she knows her earth mother wouldn't exactly be happy if she neglected her books. Still she did finally understand who she was, and what she had to do to help magic girl four.

"Does Selina know where they are comin' from?"

"Um no. But she says an' angel is gonna look into it?"

Magic girl four gasped. "A- A real angel?!" She looked amazed at the idea of it.

"She says she's as close to one as can be," she said giggling again. "I'm so glad I get to do this wit' you. Other mother wasn't exactly happy at first, but now things are okay!"

"Really?" Magic girl four raised her wand, and released her power. Her normal clothes returned, and Jenny appeared in her place. Not really looking that much different to the trained eye.

"Yep. An' angel came an' showed her the truth." Artemis smiled. It certainly was a relief to her. Now they were a happy family again.

Jenny nodded. This whole world had become a little crazy lately, but she was glad that Artemis and her mother were back to normal. She did kind of wonder of her own real mother. Though... for some reason, Muriel Was always going to be her mother to her. She didn't know why though. Was she a bad person to dismiss ... whoever her birth mother was? Then again, was this not a similar situation Artemis found herself in? She managed to reconcile things, but Jenny couldn't. The person in her mind was just a ghost... she became very confused whenver she thought about it.

"You okay?" Asked Artemis.

"Uh huh," The white haired girl said sadly. "I jus'.. get a bad feelin' sometimes. I dunno why. An'... I think about before Mummy found me." Thinking back to that time, alone... on the streets... She felt sad to admit that she didn't know where she came from. It was like accepting that maybe, she didn't come from anywhere. Something that her 'sister' professed to come from too. What if... she was just like this 'enemy'?

Together, Artemis and Jenny patrolled. This was a fairly busy, though not a bad day to them.

Defined...

smaller...

less...

That is what they became, whenever they interacted with them. It was a losing battle. Questions were asked, when before it was always a simple, eternal certainty. All was supposed to be as it was and always will be. Yet now, eddies had formed of great eruptions of conscious minds, all trying to work out some semblance to a 'reality'. Pieces of their world, ended up perceived by them, and in so became part of their own reality. It was harsh indeed this 'fight'.

They made them... for what?

Agent minus four project... analysed. Found unusual force permeating the reality. Termed by the inhabitants as 'time'.

There was a strange shudder. In order to work with this reality, they had to use their definitions. This force in particular, seemed incredibly dangerous. If it leaked into their world, suddenly eternity was not quite so eternal any more.

Begin analysis of the force... complete.

Slowly their poured over the data, at the seamless illogicality of trying to understand the sheer paradox of what time actually was. It didn't make a lot of sense, that something had to require 'time' in order to exist. The paradox of time of the infinitesimal movements in particular, utterly baffled them. Data was checked, and re-checked... and various equations were made to try and emulate it. Some succeeded, many failed... but quickly, they were on par at least with how the inhabitants understood it, and even a little further.

Query. Could this force be eliminated?
Attempt to extract origin point...
Examine source.... complete. Feesable to eliminate the force of time... error. No Agent capable of such ability exists.

There was another pause.

This tended to mean the plan could never work. Whatever the force was, it was too... odd to be able to invoked at will. Indeed, conscious thought affected it in some subtle way. It was incredibly eerie, to examine the effects of time upon themselves, as well as the inhabitants of the strange universe.

Number status?

More reams of data poured over. Magic Girl Four... reclassified as extremely high risk to approach directly. Sufficiently trained. Has removed several crossings over of varying power. Has powerful allies. One linked to unknown force- force resists probe completely. Unable to discern name. Number Three, medium risk. Has had moderate training, but high potential power. Linked to Two... power unknown. Magic Girl One... capable of causing fusion of planes... Based on projections final definition... is inevitable.

So... that was it? They lost? Anger spilled out. Yes they knew anger and hatred. It brought that same desperation. A solution.. find the solution!

Note. Ally of Magic Girl four detected in an altercation with Agent Minus Four...

A picture of Lilly appeared. Complete in three dimensions, as it rotated. every hair follicle on her fur was counted, every taste bud, Every neuron... They examined the squirrel girl in way that was numerically possible, stripping her down to from a single cell to basic drives, projecting her life.

Classification? Curiously, there was some interference around this one- and it was an unknown source. However they quickly probed as best they could through it.

Name: Lilly Gordon. Bi-roborus sciuridae. Interference... compensated. Prediction... common.

That was at least, interesting. They had seen many rare culminations, but this one was hardly anything special. Still it was registered as an ally of magic girl four. It was prudent to continue the analysis, in case she had some ability unknown to them.

Potential... 1.0905... Growth projections negative. Tending towards 0.

This creature, for reasons unknown started at the lowest potential they had ever seen. Normally under such situations they would see rapid growth... however for some reason here, this was not the case. This one had none, nor could ever gain any ability. Projecting to the future brought it to zero... which was even stranger? Why would it do that? A curious puzzle...

They started to consider how she might be used if that were even possible. But because of the way potential worked, it also meant that she was insufficient to become an agent, utterly incapable of invoking any act on their behalf that could cause an impact. This one was essentially at the mercy of the forces of the universe. Forces they were slowly, starting to understand, and may themselves one day be able to manipulate. Thus the conclusion came that in theory, they could manipulate her towards a goal- if one could exist.

If they could not fight the magic girls directly, perhaps an indirect method could work.

Query... could an individual under reversion go into negative potential?

It should have been easy to answer, but in this case it was not. Still, it was worth considering.

Time Project... enacted. Begin projections.

Suddenly, a shining sword cut through the simulation. It was not entered into any of the equations, it should not have been there at all. Bafflement, and puzzlement grew over it, but they could not repeat the unusual wave of energy that they saw, that completely threw out their calculations.

Error? It sounded almost... inconceivable.

Re-work projections...

This time there were no errors. Somehow there was a certain satisfaction, that the force of time was being probed at now. A plan was in the making.

Agent Hawkins had to blink. He stared again but his senses were certainly not deceiving him. Still it was perhaps best to check with a non-biological body, to be on the safe side. "Cecilia? Am I seeing this right?"

"Yes. The box is... gone."

The box that the space girl had dropped into the school, had vanished. Stored in one of the most highest security areas imaginable, it had just been whisked away.

Agent Hawkins frowned. This felt like a very bad omen.
