Lilly was having a strange feeling.
It was like... someone was there. Something bad. She felt afraid as something primal in her new body just... reacted- reacted to the scent of something that was not there. She didn't know what it was, but all of a sudden it was gone. Maybe not gone completely, but... kept away? Then it was like her mother was holding her, telling her everything was okay. She liked the feeling. Like being wrapped in contentedness. She didn't have anything to worry about. The squirrel girl gave a little smile, even though there was no way to understand the strangeness of this experience.
The squirrel girl woke up a little in her empty room. She felt her chest, feeling a little glad that the soreness was coming and going at least- until she actually thought about it like she was now, and the weird feeling lingered just that much longer. She rested onto one of her tails, allowing the other tail to wrap itself around her legs. She was as a little ball of fur, and probably didn't need the covers... but she used them anyway. It was like being wrapped in ...a hollow tree-? She blinked at that thought and shrugged it off. Quickly she dozed back to rest, knowing she had to get ready for school tomorrow.
Things were not going quite so well in the Violet's residence.
"Why doesn't she go to sleep?" whispered Harriet's mother to herself. Mrs Violet was quite worried of her strange 'new' daughter. Her brother, or rather- sister had brought her back to stay a few nights. To be honest though, she found the child very unsettling. She just.. stared sometimes. Then she wondered of her sister, "Sabrina". Honestly, why did she pick that name? At least she didn't pick an elven name... that would have been even weirder. But come on, 'Sabrina Violet?' That was just a stupid name!
Mrs violet shook her head. Her entire family had been completely disrupted by these events of the sunlight. Her brother was now a girl and clearly out of her mind, and then there was her daughter, who insisted that her name was "Artemis" now. There was no lady on the moon, there was nothing out there but space, and she had no idea how to help her daughter out of this delusion. Taking her to the hospital was a complete waste of time. They checked her over, and said she was fine. What about those strange crater marks? Didn't they even want to make sure she didn't have cancer or something?
But no, they said she was healthy, and now here she was... just staring out the window, not even sleeping. She wished she had her real daughter back-
"Real daughter?" She asked herself. It's true she wasn't completely sure right now, if this child was her daughter. Yet she was, and yet also someone- something else. It was just a little too frightening to even think that she might be telling the truth.
She had to call her brother. This was just a mistake. Harriet was... not normal. She picked up the phone, glancing around as she dialled the number.
"Mom?"
Mrs Violet stopped. The strange girl was suddenly... right in front of her. She did not even hear her footsteps. "Y-yes?" Why didn't she make any noise!
"... you okay?" The moon girl asked calmly.
"...Yes...." Slowly she put the phone down backing just a touch away. Clearly this was a very bad time to do anything. Another plan was needed. "I was... going to cook some food... you still like spaghetti, right?"
"I dunno," thought Artemis. Still she stared.
That really didn't make Mrs violet feel any better. "I'll.. just go into the kitchen..." The woman calmly did so- and quickly closed off the door. Glancing at the small fridge she moved it in between her and the door too. Maybe she was being paranoid, but she just didn't know what to make of this child- her child, any more. Was she going crazy? Fortunately she left her mobile phone here. She quickly called her brother. "Shawn..." she whispered. "Oh for goodness sakes, fine.. 'Sabrina'... this is not working out... no she hasn't done anything weird but.... just collect her... yes now. Please, just make any excuse. I- I just can't deal with this right now. Harriet's not... normal." She tensed a bit, glancing at the door. She could picture the creepy child, just staring at her through the door. Was she capable of that? Dear God!
"I am not being paranoid! She doesn't even sleep... how am I supposed to get any sleep knowing that!" Mrs Violet glanced tensed at her raised voice. "Just pick her up... I don't understand what she's become but you seem to have a better grasp of it. I just- need time..." The woman ran her hands over her eyes, as tears swelled. "I- I feel like she's not Harriet... like... I lost my daughter to this 'other' woman. Who is she? Why did she do this!.... .... "No I don't believe it. I'm a catholic okay? There's only one God..."
She sighed as she put the phone down. Shawn- Sabrina, should pick her up soon. In the mean time, it looked like she would have to try and cook some food to at least maintain an appearance of normality.
The moon calmly watched through the window...
The devil priestess, Robert was all set for bed. She wished the angel changed luck on their quest for this.. Kyle. Seeing the young angel grow from being a hot-headed rebel, to a responsible girl swelled the pastors heart. She hoped Lucas never loses that fire, but such ambitions had to be tempered... she knew that keenly... as she was like that herself...
It took becoming this creature to realise, just how bad she was... She stared again at the mirror, of the creature in front of the mirror. She stuck her long, vicious tongue out, and for some reason felt drawn to the image. She promised such... temptations, and sensations to please any man... Her face framed by that red hair, with horns that implied such damnation, such.. welcomed damnation... and those legs... as if they couldn't show her wrongness in the world, yet at the same time... why did those hooves have such an effect on people?
Robert inched closer to the mirror, and for a moment it was easy to forget she was this creature. Right now, in her mind, she was her old self... staring at this creature before. She could use so many words to describe her... thrill seeker...devil's maiden... the Red Witch... Harlot... Temptress, Desire of a Man, from their most primal, darkest imaginations... with breasts aching to be touched, and even more... her long tongue seemed to be drawn out by his stare, licking across her face. Her tail swayed itself to the side, almost mockingly. Merciful heavens, just the way she breathed was enough to be so arou-
Robert stopped. Glancing down at her body, broke the spell... she was this creature... she was all those things she thought of, thinking at her as if she was her old self again. Maybe... tonight she could have a little more 'fun' with it. They were still getting.. acquainted. She was about ready to retire to the bed room, when suddenly the doorbell rang.
Curious, the devil priestess opened the door but found nobody. Glancing down though, she found a small cot... "What in..." the devil priestess blinked, not quite able to believe it. Inside the cot was a small devil-changed. A little girl, that could not be any more then one years of age. She also had small, bat like wings. There was a note attached. "Dear Pastor... I could no longer bear the shame of this... please take care of her..."
The devil priestess gasped and quickly brought the girl in. She would have to call the police of course- she had heard of this happening a few times, but... this was very unusual. The devil-baby seemed to smile at Robert, as she picked her up. "You poor baby," she said softly. "Who could abandon you... Don't worry. We'll find your real mother..."
